Room Discounts Question

I have already booked a trip Oct. 26-11/6 with FD at BLT thru the Disney Chase card. I can't even believe it, but we now cannot go those dates - I'm so sad! So... my question is... I have tried to book FD the week of Nov. 16 and Dec. 20th and can't get FD at BLT, or the CR. I can get a room only though. So, how likely will Disney put out a room only discount for those 2 weeks? We are also now thinking about Thanksgiving week also.

Which week is better crowd-wise - Thanksgiving or Christmas?

Unfortunately we historically have to wait until late July or early August to find out what kind of RO discounts Disney is offering (or FD). And again, unfortunately there is no way of knowing if Disney will expand on the dates that came out with the early offer last month, or if they will expand them.

I would think it will come down to simple mathematics and economics. If the May offer wasn't enough to fill up the rooms for those dates, or if the other dates haven't filled up, then Disney I would think most likely would expand upon the offer. But again, we won't know until the time comes.

We for one are waiting. Post Thanksgiving has generally been included in past deals, or was when we went in 2010 and 2012. It wasn't part of the early offer but am hoping it will be in the second release.
