I’m sure the answer is here somewhere, just can’t find it, so....

I know I can get a Disney room discount with my UK AA card (Arc Europe), but do I have to contact Disney direct in the US for this, or will the Disney UK number ok, ie do I have to pay in dollars to get this discount?.

We are due to stay in Nov, and would love to get the discount in Pounds, with the current exchange rate it's cheaper to pay in Pounds.

Many Thanks.

A few years ago I booked direct with Disney US for All Stars, I stated that I had a 'tripple A' card and this got me a discount. I believe that tripple A discount is for a limited amount of rooms, as I have been told on other occasions that all of the allocations had gone. I was never asked to produce my card on arrival.

You can only get AAA on rooms booked through Disney US.

It may be worth checking again nearer the time as they have room only discounts that are available to the general public in the US too.

We have booked MK View club level at the Contemporary for less than I could book a standard MK view room on the UK site and that was using an exchange rate of $1.50. Also I can get a full refund of my deposit up to 6 days before check in as I booked room only so I have nothing to lose!

Room only discounts are out up to October at the moment.

The motoring organisation. It is a "Triple A" discount is the USA.

Hello everyone, I didn't know there was a UK 'bit' here :).

I believe you can also get some discounts on some of the Disney behind the scenes tours, I did hear that some shops at DTD take it but I'm not so sure.

I have basic breakdown cover, with AA, so is that everyone is talking :thumbsup2

Yes you just need any AA membership and gives you access to the AAA discount scheme in the US.

There is a list here which tours you can get AAA discounts, look to be for Diamond members only, not sure UK AA would get those.

Discounts in shops have been reported in the past but not sure they still offer it at any now.

I used mine in nearly every shop in Universal studios and IOA. Tried to use it in world of disney and they didnt accept it,so maybe just accepted in universal shops.

I used to pay in the Swan and Dolphin I'm sure we got 20% off in the restaurants and in the spa.

I've just read this in another forum here, so they accept the UK one with the blue and red badge thingy on the back? Good to know. Was thinking of popping into Fresh one morning for breakfast :)

Yup - had no problems at all I guess they get them all the time :thumbsup2

How much would you say you saved 10, 20 per cent ? :)

I think we saved over $200 dollors. Most places were 10% but a couple were 20%. considering the card cost me 26.50 or near and had £21 cashback off quidco so not bad ey.

I think its September that the AAA discount is released for the following year, they only have a limited amount of rooms at each resort with the discount. I checked for 7 nights at the gf and it was around $1300 less than the rate on the disney site.

Would you say for merchandise at universal was 10 - 20 per cent off too?
