Room credit question

We moved from AKL to POFQ and Disney placed the $118 difference as a credit on our room. Can I use that at the parks for food and souvenirs or just at the resort?

Also, do you know if they'll still put the $100 hold on our card for incidentals as well or will the credit just count towards that?

The credit will be used toward anything you charge back to your room via magic band.

Another guest who had a credit balance when they checked into their resort reported that they had a $100 hold put on their credit card.
