I'm renting a 2 bdr at BCV in august how does room charging work with two families . i'll be staying there for 10 days and the other family will be there for 5 days. do we take care of this at check in?

Each memebr will have a card with different numbers on them. At the end of the 5 days you could go to the front desk and have them total your friends bill and have them pay before they leave. You can pay at the end of your vacation.

They will only put one credit card on the room. You can try to separate the bill at the end by using the card numbers but then you just have to make sure everyone keeps their own card. When we shared a 2 bedroom with our inlaws we just had their cards not able to charge.

My brother and I both used credit cards to pay our share of the bill. My card was the one the used when we checked in but they dont charge anything to it until you check out. So both could use a credit card to pay the bill at the end.

A slight correction to the above post-I believe they charge your card when it hits $1500 or $3000 depending on what resort, then they pre-charge the card again for another 1500, so on and on. When you check in they put a hold on your card for say $1500 when you spend that they do the process over again. That is another way to explain it. If you don't reach $1500 then you will not be charged until you check out.

They do not put any holds on your card. They run it for 1.00 to see if it is valid and they never put that charge through. They will charge the card immediately for tickets and if you go over the preset amount, but, never ever a hold for any amount.

Thanks for this post. I'm bringing my sister and niece and my DS just asked me how she can pay etc...

I told her that she can either pay cash or charge to the room, but that it would be my CC. She'd have to pay me back. I told her that at any point you can get a running list of charges and she can tell her charges by the number (each card has a different number assigned to it).

The part I wasn't 100% sure of is how to divide it up at the end. Can she pay her share with only cash or a CC? Can she pay her portion daily or only at the end?

I'm assuming she can pay cash toward the balance at any time, correct?

My main question is will they take 2 (different) CC payments at the end of our trip?

Also, if you split your stay, do you pay off the first resort before you head to the second or do you pay all at the end?

Thanks.

She can pay cash anytime she wants, or she can pay by credit card anytime she wants.
Yes, they will take two different cc payments.
If you split, they will close out the account the day of checkout for the first reservation. They don't carry balances from resort to resort.
Bring a calculator. :)

I would expect you can get a folio anytime and add it up in your room. They cannot separate and total different card numbers any better than you can.

Thanks for clearing it up!

Keep in mind that if you total charges at the end and split the bill during check-out, you won't be able to use Express Check-Out.

We're going with relatives in the fall. We're going to charge-as-we-go, putting our meal and sourvenir expenditures on our Disney Visa (earns points), and the relatives putting their expenditures on their own card. That way there will be no calculating or bill-splitting at the end of our vacation, and no line to stand in before leaving for the airport.

I never use express checkout, I like to check for errors. I get out fast enough, never have to wait too long.
