Room charging privileges?

I am renting a unit from an ebay seller at the Saratoga springs resort. My question is, Will I have room charging privilages for our stay? If so, what is the amount?

Hi goingquackers,
I believe when someone other than the member is traveling it is the discrepancy of the member. The member can decide if they want the person traveling to have room charging privileges or not.

I would ask the person you are renting from to be sure. I am sure someone else can shed more insight in the instance I am incorrect.

Actually, the member has no control as to whether a guest has room charge privileges. That is part of the risk of renting. If the DVC owner is on the reservation, and checks in first, then they can decide which cards can charge and which can not. In the case of the rental, the reservation is in the name of the renter and they are offered room charge priviledges by the resort. But if the renter defaults on the room charges, the member is stuck with the bill, and will be unable to make reservations until the charges are paid.

That is one reason to have a good rental contract.
