I have a friend at work who is renting points from a DVC member. She is getting a studio at OKW and wants to know what is a good location there? She is going with her DH and they have 2 kids-9yoDD and 6yoDS. They have never been to Disney so I want to be sure she's in a good location. They want to be close to HH, as well as the main pool. They will have a car, but I don't think driving to eat at your hotel is much fun or convenient.

Thanks for any suggestions!

HH and main pool are in the same place.

The request to be near these is the most often made and therefore the most often ignored request. I wouldn'r request particular building or rooms, I would just make that request.

All the rooms are near a pool. You can take any bus to the main, HH, area if you do not want to walk. I would tell her to make sure they ask for smoking or non smoking first. She might have some luck with the other request.

We had breakfast at Olivia's when we were at OKW last month, and my husband and I both agreed that it was one of the best breakfasts we've had in all of Disney. Didn't get to try dinner, but will in the future. We were in building 38, room 3812, first floor studio. It was smack dab in the center of the cul-de-sac, but not too far from the bus stop or the pool. If you don't want a view of the air conditioning units though, don't request our room. We also had a far off view of the golf course straight ahead, so I just tried not to look to my left, lol. Here's a couple pictures.

I did fax my room request ahead of time. We requested to be in the South Point section, building 45 or 46, and we had two studios, so we requested them to be close to each other. We didn't arrive until almost 1am, and were given building 38, in the Turtle Pond section. Our rooms were on the 1st and 2nd floor, right on top of each other. The castmember at the check in counter asked which room my husband and I wanted, and I had no idea, so I said I guess the first floor. My son and his friend had the second floor room. Well, guess who had the better view? As if two 22yo's really cared!! Oh well, live and learn.
