I was able to pull my res. from the dcl website finally after 3 weeks of trying, and I saw that they had assigned my room number. looking at the ship layout I see it's one with the solid verandah but the room looks slightly bigger anyone with any knoledge of this? I'm just not sure about that solid wall. I really enjoy sitting out there and just watching the ocean go by. If anyone has any pictures or info I would love to hear it. Thankyou :wizard: princess:

Hi....unfortunately that room does have a solid,4ft metal railing verandah unlike the others that have plexiglass. But they say the solid verandahs are slightly deeper and quieter. Also that room is aft on deck 7 which is very close to the secluded public deck. Hope that helps a little. :D

Thanks, I'm just getting a little worried that we will not like it at all. Having a DD 1 we will be spending alot of time in our room.

We had 7604, and the location is wonderful.

We recently stayed in stateroom #7630 on our 1/13 cruise. Like you, I was a little apprehensive about the solid verandah, but it turned out just fine. The room size was fine, and I found it to be rather quiet on that end of the ship. Many times I would open our door to peek out in the halls and I almost hardly ever seen anyone. I think that you will like this room. One good thing is that it's very close to the aft elevators.

CaliforniaDreaming, Thank you so much for the pics. I am still a little worried about that solid verandah. I did call Disney and they said there are no more rooms. Oh well, at least we will be on vacation and that's good enouph. :flower1: :flower:

Hi how did you end up liking this room? We are booked in this room in February.

That cruise was nearly 20 years ago. And the OP hasn’t been on this site since 2012.

I am sure there are more recent reviews that address these Wonder and Magic cabins. ☺️

Unfortunately that's the chance you take doing a *GT or category GTY on Disney. Apparently other lines will let you call and complain and change your assignment, but DCL is pretty much you get what you get. If you're not going to want a specific type of room, don't book a *GT or category GTY unless it's above what you don't want.
