Room 7544 Magic Info?

Looking for info on Room 7544 Disney Magic. We have 3 and 5 year olds and were hoping for bunk beds....

We had this room in June, 2000. It had a Queen-size bed and convertible sofa.

It was just my DW and I, so we never had to open the couch. I don't think it would be a problem with 3 and 5 year olds. The room is on the starboard side next to the midship elevator lobby. It was very convenient and very quiet for being near the lobby. the verandah was excellant for sitting out with a coffee while the wife was in the shower, etc. The ship had backed in at Castaway Cay, so we had a nice view from the verandah. Enjoy your cruise, we are taking the DVC Anniversary cruise on the Wonder in April and can't wait.

re location of 7544:

We had a similarly located cabin last November -- 6530. We were waitlisted for a Category 6 and were informed by mail of the cabin assignment. I am a light sleeper and knew the location would be a problem. I repeatedly called the cruise line reservations people to ask for a change, but it didn't happen. Sure enough, we found it quite noisy and would never book another cabin that close to the elevators/stairs.

Our next two cruises were booked through a travel agent agent who, on her own, refused to accept a cabin in that location. She was able to get us cabins mid-way between elevator lobbies.

The noisy location didn't ruin the trip, but I could have used a lot more sleep!!

Sorry -- more about the convertible sofa...

The back of the sofa in the room contains one twin bed; it folds forward and there you are. In 6530 there was another twin bed that dropped down from the ceiling and the ladder was kept in the closet. The twin beds were made up while we were at dinner, and there were always towel animals arranged on them for the kids (and I enjoyed them too!). My son is 5' and 125 lbs. and was quite comfortable in the upper bed. He says there was a small safety rail on it. My daughter says there was no safety rail on her lower bed...

Probably more than you wanted to know!!

DisDad- call DCL & ask if they have the drop down bunk from the ceiling in that room. My DD loved it. It has safety railings. If not request a room that has one. #6040 had it.

Your kids will love it!
