I've looked in the Passporter's Field Guide and on another website but can't locate any comments on this room. Are we too close to the elevators? too noisy? I've heard the elevators are REALLY slow. Are the stairs your best bet? Would you ever consider letting two 7-yr-olds go and fill their own drink? Is that close by?

Thanks!

We stayed in 6550 which is pretty close to 6562. The elevator noise was never a problem for us. The elevators are seperate from the hallways & that keeps the noise down a lot. Yes the elevators can be really slow, especially when trying to get to dinner or off at a port.

The drink station is located on deck 9 by the mickey pool. I think you are best at deciding if your 7 year olds would be allowed to go themselves.

We were in 6550 also and I think the location is perfect. I didn't notice any elevator noise at all. The elevators are quite slow; we rarely used them at all. Using the stairs so much is probably the only thing that kept us from gaining any weight!
I wouldn't let my seven year old go by herself to the drink station, but I'm pretty protective too.

We had connecting rooms with our family, 6568 and 6570. If I remember correctly 6562 is probably the first room right off the elevator banks. There's an opening with no rooms, where the sign tells you which direction to go for which rooms, then the rooms start, then there's a small hallway BEHIND the elevators, this room may be directly across from this. We were a few doors down and I can say we never EVER had any problems with elevator noise, or groups of people waiting for the elevators or anything. It is a GREAT location because the kids clubs are just one level above at the top of the stairs (LAB). I wish I knew more about the room itself, I know we passed it many, many times, I can't quite remember if its right next to the wall of the elevator bank or if it is just behind the elevator, therefore making the room in front of the hallway BEHIND the elevator. If you plan to have kids in the kids' clubs, I absolutley loved the location of midship deck 6!

Have a great trip!
