Has anyone stayed at Ron Jon Resort Orlando (Bali Blvd., Kissimmee) that can comment on the facilities/accommodations? We are planning a multi-family get together in December, and the various rooms/condos, etc., look well suited for our needs. Any comments, tips, or suggestions about this place would be appreciated... Thanks.

If there are kids up to age 5 or so, they will like the waterpark on site that is free for guests.

There are new and old units although they are building lots of new units so you should be able to get yoru choice of buildings.

There is a children's playground and BBQ pits and a lake for fishing (kid size lake and fish)...

Seems like a good resort for a large get together. If there are no kids or just older ones, there are two pool areas that never had kids when we were there. I don't think that kids were restricted from these areas, they just stayed at the water park.

You are about 5 minutes from the busy part of I192 with all of the restaurants, etc.

Hope that helps....

We stayed there in March and the Resort is beautiful. The rooms are very large (we stayed in a one bedroom and there were only 2 of us) and the grounds were very nice. The one bedroom had everything in it, a jacuzzi bathtub, full kitchen, great living room with VCR player, patio with table and chairs. The accomodations were really superb. It's very close to Disney, maybe 5 minutes from Animal Kingdom, ten minutes or less to other parks, so you will enjoy it.

One word of caution. We got our one bedroom for 2 nights for a grand total cost of $40. No, not $40, each night, $40 for two nights. HOWEVER- that is because we agreed to take the timeshare tour from hell:mad:. What they originally told us was a one hour soft sell presentation turned into a 3 hour high pressure pain in the neck, and from what straight answers I did get, the value wasn't that great. It took every last bit of joy out of staying there for us.

In order to get our joy back we went over to DVC, checked it out, found out what soft sell really was, and were treated so extremely well and with kindness, that we bought the Vacation Club right there on the spot.

Have a great time, just beware the timeshare pitch.

My wife and I stayed at the Ron Jon Resort in a two bedroom unit that was fantastic. The unit was very spacious, had nice furnishings and even included a washer and dryer.
The resort has its own water slide park that is great for kids especially younger ones. There are also "quiet pools" so that you don't have to always be surrounded by the noise you get from the main pool.
The resort is further from the main gate to Disney than I have stayed before but not so far that I wouldn't recommend it.
You should enjoy it very much. There is also a grocery store very close by which is handy since you have a full kitchen.

Enjoy your stay

Thanks for the tips... If anyone else has stayed at Ron Jon's, we'd appreciate hearing your comments.
