It's very off-center, making you dependent on the hotel shuttle or taxis to get you to the touristic parts of the city. If you are staying there only one or two nights before a cruise, that can sort of be offset by the fact that you shave about 30 minutes of transit time from there to Civitavecchia on the morning of the cruise.
I guess the choice depends on the cost comparison with a centrally located hotel, the type of visit you wish to do in Rome and if you are cruising at the end of your stay. Personally, I would stay in central Rome, preferring to get an early start to my visit days.
