Does anyone have any romantic restaurant recommendations that are 1 or 2 TS credits? We are currently laying out our dining "plans" for our Disneymoon and want to make sure we get at least a few romantic dinners. So far, for dinner, this is what we have in mind:

Narcoossees
O'hana (our favorite)
Rose and Crown Pub (not really romantic, but doing it merely for Illuminations!)
Le Cellier
Les Chefs de France
Flying Fish Cafe
Brown Derby (we are looking to replace this one, as I've heard from friends that it's a great restaurant, but not really "romantic" and was recommended more for lunch)

We are open to all suggestions! Thanks so much for the help!

I would also skip Narcoossee's. It has dropped pretty far from being "romantic". If using the dining plan I would use the credits on Citricos which is also at GF (Citricos and Flying Fish rank as our top 2 restaurants that take the dining plan). I would also strongly recommend Jiko (AKL) and Artist Point (WL) since these are the 2 other Signatures I would consider most romantic (and the food at both is excellent). I agree that HBD is not very romantic either and would also recommend going there for lunch. One of the better 1 TS meals on property is Sanaa at Kidani (we liked the food better here than at some of the Signatures).

Also, if there is a meal where you are not tied down to using TS credits, I would suggest either V&A's (if you can splurge a little) or one of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants (we really like Shula's and bluezoo).

Bistro de Paris! Amazing and, at least when I was there last, quiet and romantic with NO kids. The lamb knocked my socks off.

I've also heard great things about the S&D restaurants (Bluezoo, Il Mulino, Shula's) but I've never been so I can't personally recommend them.

Also, San Angel Inn! Sit by the water and the atmosphere is very romantic :cloud9: My fiance and I both enjoyed our signature margaritas (jalepeno for him, avocado for me) and our main dishes (pollo a las rajas for me, roast pork for him). The caveat is that the desserts were just plain bad. But I still really enjoyed my meal!

I don't really consider Chefs de France to be all that romantic of a setting...

I agree with OhThePain that Jiko and Artist's Point are quite nice.

San Angel Inn is probably the most "romantic" setting.

Citricos for sure.
Jiko
California Grill. (Loud, but cool setting)
San Angel Inn is romantic

Bistro de Paris (the upstairs one) is super romantic! Chefs de France is good but not as romantic (lots of kids).

If you want to splurge - go to Victoria & Alberts. The food and atmosphere are AMAZING. It's definitely a special dinner for your honeymoon. It will blow everything else away. And it's the only Disney restaurant that is 18 and over.

The "upstairs" is quiet, but not terribly romantic. The downstairs is the usual madhouse filled with kids.

I'll throw in another vote for Jiko. I think it's the most romantic restaurant on property, with the exception of V&A, which I also heartily endorse.

Also, as a general rule, the nicer restaurants are even better if you move your ADR later in the evening. Flying Fish at 8:30pm is a much more romantic setting than Flying Fish at 6:15pm, in my opinion: quieter, darker, often a little less crowded.

I would pick Citricos over Narcossees any day to be honnest. The food was better and the atmosphere is more romantic IMO. Cali grill is alos not bad.

We are also planning our Disneymoon. We are going to be on the Deluxe Dining Plan so we can get in a lot of signatures! We are going with: California Grill, Citricos, Jiko, Ohana (our favorite!), Yachtsman Steakhouse, La Hacienda (for illuminations), and Flying Fish. I am also planning to surprise my fiance with a Victoria and Albert's trip!

Have an amazing Disneymoon! Congrats!

Another vote for Citricos. It's the most romantic restaurant in my opinion, and if you eat a bit later on the chances of there being children there start to slim down. The food is also absolutely amazing. I've never had a filet so perfect.

I am also planning our Disneymoon and will be watching this thread like a hawk! :rotfl:

We had our disneymoon waaayyyy back in 2009 and then our 1st anniversary in 2010. On our disneymoon (also dxdp), our favorites were Yachtsman, Jiko and the Brown Derby. The service at all of them was fabulous, the food was unbelievable and the atmosphere was great!
We had our 1st anniversary dinner at Narcoossee's and I wish we could do it over. It was loud, the food was so-so and our server kind of ignored us.

Looking for a nice place to have diiner while our kids grandparent babysit. We were thinking about Narcoossees however we will be there in Feb 16-23 2012. Does anyone know if the construction is in the way of views ect. There are plenty of other places to go so we can. We goes once a year so if this is not the year we can go next time. Anyone's thoughts.

Citrico's was very nice. The pan seared red snapped was really yummy. It also had the best vanilla gelato ever!!! Really not a vanilla person, but it was to die for!!! It's pretty quiet for WDW. Very enjoyable.

My wife and I have taken a few Disney trips without the kids (anniversaries, Food and wine, etc). Our personal favorites for romance are California Grill, Narcossee's and Tokyo Dining. I've seen a lot of Citricos folks. We've eaten there and it was nice but I would consider Narcossee's more romantic as your right on the water and have a wonderful view of the MK castle. I guess romance means different things to different folks. California Grill was our favorite, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was fun and romantic and watching Wishes from the roof with a glass of wine was super romantic. Tokyo Dining had great sushi and a great view of illuminations which is very romantic.

Brown Derby (we are looking to replace this one, as I've heard from friends that it's a great restaurant, but not really "romantic" and was recommended more for lunch)

We are open to all suggestions! Thanks so much for the help!

My first thought was Brown Derby, and when I saw you were going to replace it because your friends thought it wasn't romantic, I was shocked. I feel it's very romantic. Dim lighting, beautiful decor, quiet, great food, excellent for dinner. If I were you, I wouldn't change it. Just ask for a seat toward the back if they have it for more privacy. In terms of other romantic restaurants, Cinderella's Royal Table has a certain magical quality to it, though there will be a lot of kids! San Angel definitely has the best atmosphere, but I was not at all impressed with their service or food. I have never personally been to Jiko, but my brother and his wife went on their honeymoon and loved it, and if I remember correctly, you get a view of the safari.
