Someone suggested that I create a new thread on this one - so here is goes!

My Partner usually does all the planning on our trips to Disney, but since I am off this summer, it has been handed to me. So I am looking to have one evening where it surprises him and I can show how much I appreciate him and cherish him. Any Ideas???

How much are you willing to spend? I ask because I too am surprising my DP on our upcoming trip. It's pricey, however I'm able to do this as my yearly bonus kicks in this payday! I'm treating her to Victoria & Alberts. It's a once in a lifetime dinning experience. I've heard ONLY amazing reviews of it. Good luck on wherever you choose! ;)

My personal favorites for romantic moments at WDW tend toward the very simple "walking on the beach at the Poly and watching the fireworks over Magic Kingdom" kind of thing. (though, depending on time of year, bugs can kill the romance of that one very easily! :rotfl:)

One that I've heard about that looks interesting is the carriage rides at Fort Wilderness . . .

And there are any number of romantic restaurants . . .

I have saved so much in other topics that I am willing to pay up to about $300 for an event or extrodinary experience!
Thank You for your Ideas so far

Okay, you're going to be at WDW for the Food and Wine Festival, right?

It may not be a quiet kind of romantic, but for about $300 the two of you could attend "Party for the Senses". They happen every Saturday night during the festival and they're AWESOME! Unlimited wine and beer tasting, food stations serving tasty treats from chefs from around WDW, plus celebrity chefs, and visiting restauranteurs from around the country. The entertainment for the party is Cirque du Soliel acts that perform in a cental stage area and/or mingle with guests.

It's amazing, and it's one of our favorite things to do during F&W.

You could arrange for a specialty cruise to watch either Illuminations or Wishes. You can have snacks and drinks (for an extra fee) included on the cruise. It would be quite romantic, eh? ::yes::

We really enjoyed our dinner at Bistro de Paris. It was the degustation menu, and was just wonderful. It's a lengthy meal, and you might be lucky enough to get a window seat and watch Illuminations from there.

There are also other things like parasailing, and segway tours and the like. Depends upon your definition of romance! ::yes::

When we did the IllumiNations cruise the snacks and sodas were included in the price of the cruise.
Of course we ate dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse before the cruise so we were too full for any of the snacks.

We like to eat at Citrico's, and the bakery at the GF turns out some amazing cakes! You could do dinner with a fabulous custom cake for dessert. (I am not too much on romance, but I am all about cake. ;))

Bistro de Paris is excellent as is Victoria & Alberts, Narcoosees and Citricos are all right at the top as well.

The Wishes cruise is awesome!
A leisurely night in Epcot during the Food & Wine Festival is a blast. DW & I do it every year with out the kids! :woohoo:

Simple and cheap but really nice, get a bottle of wine, go out to Inpsiration Point at the Poly and watch MK fireworks. OR have a great dinner at the Caifornia Grill and do the same.
