Romancing the Mouse

Anyone have any reviews from Romancing the mouse homes? Looks like they don't have much Disney theming (or any??) for kids, are there other touches that make it special for kids?

Any other comments? Any pictures or reviews?

We're staying there in June 2011. GS loves Indiana Jones so for us that theme is great. True, it's not very "Disney," but i think the price and what you get we don't need the total immersion experience. For us, having a little time away is a nice break. Can't really comment on the house (4-bed, 4-bath) because we haven't been yet, but the reviews i've read are good. Guess we'll find out in a few months.

I'm kind of disappointed with them right now. I put in a reservation request with a couple of questions days ago and haven't heard anything back. I can see on their calendar that the house is available when we want it. I always heard good things about them, but I guess I will have to look elsewhere.

Mark and Holly are awesome. Their houses are themed, but not Disney themed. We've stayed with them 3 times now.

If you ahven't heard back right away, it is probably because Mark is travelling out of the country. He does that often for business. He handles all the computer communication and Holly handles a lot of the hands on once you're in Orlando: the check in, hot cookies, chocolate strawberries, etc. He takes all the requests on first come first served so even if someone else requests your dates, if you were first you get it.

I was going to post what Atotty said that Mark may be out of town. We have had friends stay here and they only gave rave reviews. I appreciate their one stop pricing and I hear there attention to detail and service above expectation. I would still continue to look but give them a few more days.

We plan to use them next September as soon as Disney releases their Homeschool Days or Yes program for this time. WE are super excited about using them as we have not heard any bad reviews with them.

My family stayed at the 6br romancing the mouse home in WH in August of 2009 and absolutely loved it! Mark and Holly were wonderful, interested in us as people, not just income sources, and checked in with us about half way through our trip to make sure we didn't need anything. If I remember, it took Mark a couple of days to get back to me because he was returning from somewhere and swamped, but when he did get back to me he gave me my dates with no problem. I would rent from them again in a heartbeat. I'm just blown that the 6br is not available when we're traveling this year. We stayed in Aviana this past summer because romancing the mouse 6br was unavailable, the two experiences couldn't even compare! all of us said we'd wait for Mark and Holly next time.
