Not sure on total costs since we are the seller but our contract went to ROFR today. Couldn’t believe we sold at list price. Was definitely expecting to negotiate

So, that’s a great question. I am not positive the actual contract says that, but the DVCRM person (commonly on podcasts) who made the offer told me it was mandatory per contract. Which of course I know is unenforceable if not actually in the contract. But since their company was listing it I didn’t want to make a large fuss and contradict them.

Since that offer was a lowball and I didn’t want to deal with that salesperson, I countered with something high and he grumbled it wasn’t enough and the buyer rejected it. Fine by me. I got close to where I wanted to be eventually and where I was pretty sure it would sell.

We liked the person until we worked with them. Now we can’t watch them anymore.

Funny thing; I don’t see him mentioned here much; I see people talk about Andy though. For the complaints I’ve seen on here about Andy…I actually think he sounds just fine, and I would likely be happy to work with him. Someone a little cheesy who loves Disney? I can relate.

Dayum….that buyer payed over $200 a point just with CAF, and probably closer to $275 (?) with closing costs….for a stripped BWV contract…this seems like insanity not to go direct…but I guess you can’t get less than 25 anymore? Oof.

This is an amazing contract! I have been looking at BLT contracts for 2 weeks now and everything is $150+/point for contracts less than 100 points. I'm not going to lie, I am very jealous...

Yea, but I would still like to add 10. lol

Actually I think I’ve narrowed it down to adding 60 CCV direct (down the road), but adding a small BWV would still be nice. (just not sure yet if I’m going to be able to stretch 100 each year)

I’d bank those 7 points and start planning a big trip for next year… or borrow “some” and do a smaller trip this year.

We had bought PVB direct while on the Disney transatlantic cruise in May (too many sea days, couldn't stay strong). Once we started planning trips with kids and grandkids, realized we needed more. This should do it, I hope!
BTW, we were members back in '92 for 15 years and loved Disney enough to sell DVC and buy a condo for more frequent trips. Not our best decision as the real estate market crashed.
Now it's time to rekindle the magic.
