ROFR exercised on us

I have been following your very helpful posts for a month or two and made an offer. As you can tell, we were not successful. I am posting the details in hopes that you will fare better.

Jaki at A Timeshare, who was wonderful, said we are not alone; she was just getting ready to make a number of phone calls to other people and hated to disappoint them. Coincidentally, I had a message to call Timeshare Store and now have an offer in with them.
Before anyone replies that I should buy directly from Disney, I understand the advantages of that route, but I do not want a 150 point contract.

Sorry your first one fell through but I sure hope your next one is successful. I'm also waiting to hear on Disney's ROFR for a contract on OKW. Can I ask you how long from the time you signed your offer to when you heard that you didn't get it? This waiting around to hear from Disney is very painful.

It was two weeks from the day all documents were delivered to Disney. The hardest part is seeing other contracts that fit your needs go to "sale pending" while you wait. I'm thinking this one just wasn't meant to be and that the next one will be even better!

Someone just posted on another thread that their VWL resale was bought back by Disney; sounds like they were also going through Jaki for their resale. Maybe Disney is concentrating on buying back VWL points now since they already have BCV and BWV for sale? Good luck with your next try!

I sure hope you are right! My current offer is at BWV! They don't need those points, right? Crossing my fingers!

I am sorry to hear that your deal fell through. This happened to me on a BWV contract back in February, but I found another buy about a month later that worked even better for me.
