There is going to be an Atlas V launching from Kennedy Space Center at 11:30 a.m. on the day that I embark on the Dream. Do you know if it can be seen or heard from the ship?

Yes, any launches from KSC will be visible from the port.

IF it happens at 11:30 it is unlikely you'd see it from the ship

as boarding to begin b4 11:30 is unlikely ... this is about the earliest it begins on a GOOD day. I seriously doubt you can be on the ship and settled to a watching place by 11:30

I don't know how you are getting to the port, but finding a good outside place to watch at about 11:15 would be my recommendation (Grills is OK, Canaveral Pier is better)

I watch launches from my pool . . . .

BUT ... few launches happen on the first scheduled date, and few of those at the original sched' time .... so there is HOPE!

IF it happens, a ship in the port is about as close as you can possibly be.
