Hi,

We are in Orlando on the anticipated lauch date of a Titan 4B rocket on February 14th.

We've never managed to catch a launch yet:confused: My (stupid) question is,is the rocket launch a real launch?:earseek: Not sure if I make sense, one with a countdown and as exciting,or is it a smaller type thing?

Would appreciate it if anybody firstly understands and secondly knows the answer!!:hyper:

Karen,
I have tried to find out from the NASA web site page launch schedules but can't find anything listed earlier than July. Where did you find the Titan launch date from?
Claire ;)

Hi Kazzie

We were in Orlando in October 2002 and there was a shuttle lunch then, my H2B really wanted to do it, so we paid the extra to go. We had a full day at the Kennedy Space centre, which I personally found quite boring after a while. We were supposed to be quite close to the lunch place but NASA stuffed it all up and we were miles away and didn't get to see alot.

I personally don't think its worth it, but I guess thats up to you.

Here you go Claire.

Kazzie, I can't find any more info re: viewing sites etc. We are there also and intend to have a look so it would be nice to know of best viewing site and the like.
......anybody??

Thanks for your replies.

BUT is a rocket launch as spectacular as a shuttle launch?

Hi Karen

Wev'e been lucky enough to see 3 shuttle launches, including the John Glen one, all of them are spectacular and the noise is awesome your body shakes with the force, we was on the banks of bannana river for the last one so was about 7 miles away this was arranged through Kennedy space centre @ about $15 each.

We haven't seen a rocket launch yet but can imagine it will be well worth watching and will go to one as soon as, this launch has been delayed twice 4 Nov 03 & 17 Jan 04 so be prepared to be dissapointed, their are supposed to be three launches in Feb 5th Atlas 2AS, 14th Titan4 & 27th Atlas 3A

Try this web sitehttp://www.spaceflightnow.com/tracking/index.html#feb04

Hope this helps
