Rock On!! Because Devil Horns Do Belong at Disney. An Oct TR Updated 9/5 x10!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
ACID! you can probably say that about a few things in Epcot!!! Such a riot.

The Scottish Egg looks FANTASTIC! LOVE eggs! too bad i am allergic to them..:sad1:

everything else looks AMAZING! I personally would have run somewhere and grabbed a sweatshirt if i was sitting there for so long!

I love this report..

You tell Jim he cannot pick on my Figment.

Wow...that was a long lunch (especially with it being cold). But Rose & Crown is good (Mark fell in love with that Scotch Egg last year). I love their Fish & Chips.

Poor Figment. He's always picked on. :worried:

Lovely looking lunch at R&C. The Fish and Chips are great in that part of the World!
Pity about the wind and cold; but at least that gave you the excuse to get a nice sweatshirt.

I've strangely never been on Figment so I don't know what kind of weirdness might be on it, but yikes! Haha

Oh goodness, that stinks you had to wait so long for your food. It's always a little annoying when that happens. At least it was worth it!

Can't wait to hear about MNSSHP!

Should have dropped acid :lmao: anyone who ever met and spent time with Jim would realize what a ludicrous statement coming out of his mouth this is...which is why it really is funny, as I told you when I met him he reminds me so much of my DSIL and you can't get any squeaky cleaner than that ( both he and DD Majors USMC ) yeah Jim should have dropped acid :rotfl: Seriously so sad that most people don't know who the heck Figment is sure would be nice if the M & G was there to help introduce him

I was rolling when that came out of his mouth! I swear I have no idea where he gets it from sometimes! I guess Figment doesn't seem strange to me because I grew up with him but I can kind of understand where Jim was coming from. It is a bit strange the first time.

Yum your whole meal at Rose & Crown I would have ( and do ) ordered the exact same things Long time there though WOW...cute Mickey Shirt the temps did drop didn't they ? Welcome to FL a/c on in the morning heat on at night

You need to go back to R & C, the food is so good! It did get cold fast that day, we had quite the variety of weather that week.

Not sure if you have a sweet, I mean REALLY sweet tooth Have you ever had Tonga Toast, to me it is really over the top sweet and way too filling, that's the best example I could give for the feeling with the pudding you missed
Then again so many are in the " must have" Tonga Toast camp so what do I know :confused3

I've never had Tonga Toast but I was pretty sure I wouldn't like the Toffee Pudding that's mainly why I didn't order it. I only like super sweet if it's chocolate.

Thanks for taking me along on the Journey to Imagination ride...the last line on the eye chart was a little blurry I may need to get my eyes checked :magnify:

:rotfl: I think it's more my photography skills than you eyes.

Captain EO, never saw it never will I wish they would use the real estate for something else

You aren't missing anything! I do hope they are planning something better for that area but it might be a while now that they started Avatarland.

Welcome back!

Thanks! I hate when my job interfers with my DIS time!

Figment IS pretty trippy! :rotfl:

You are right, it is a little on the weird side! I just don't see it anymore because I love the ride so much.

Ugh such a shame about the chilly weather :( Not fun when you have to eat outside. I'm glad the meal was at least yummy, it looks delicious :)

I think I would have been fine if I'd been smart enough to bring a sweatshirt! I actually prefer when it's a little cooler at WDW, the heat tends to get to me.

Can't wait to hear about MNSSHP!

Coming right up! Well at least the start is. I think I'm going to have quite a few updates from the night. Just to give you an idea, I took over 60 pictures just of HalloWishes.

Ahahahaha how did I know that line was coming from Jim and would probably involve Figment?! Baha, good times!

He does come up with some great one-liners that make me laugh!

Awe man, that doesn't sound like an enjoyable lunch minus the food! The Scotch egg does sound intriguing, I'll have to try it sometime coming up!!

It was a little miserable but the food was still worth it! Yep, you need to give that egg a try sometime.

I have never heard of a Scotch Egg, but I want to be introduced to one right now!!!

I don't blame you, they are delicious! Jim and I find them occasionally at other restaurants and we always order them.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
ACID! you can probably say that about a few things in Epcot!!! Such a riot.

That is true, some of the stuff at Epcot is weird!

The Scottish Egg looks FANTASTIC! LOVE eggs! too bad i am allergic to them..:sad1:

Awe, that is a bummer because they are soooo good!

everything else looks AMAZING! I personally would have run somewhere and grabbed a sweatshirt if i was sitting there for so long!

I thought about it but I really didn't want a sweatshirt from any of the countries and I didn't think I had time to run all the way to Mouse Gears. I probably could have looking back but who knew our food would take so long.

I love this report..

Awe, thanks!

You tell Jim he cannot pick on my Figment.

OK, I will! I'm not even going to suggest we ride it in May.

Wow...that was a long lunch (especially with it being cold). But Rose & Crown is good (Mark fell in love with that Scotch Egg last year). I love their Fish & Chips.

Yeah, I don't know what was going on that day. I've eaten there many times and have never waited that long. But the food there always brings me back even if the sevice isn't that great.

Poor Figment. He's always picked on. :worried:

Well, if you think about it from an outsiders experience, it is a strange ride. :rotfl:

Lovely looking lunch at R&C. The Fish and Chips are great in that part of the World!

They were great. I love getting them at Yorkshire too!

Pity about the wind and cold; but at least that gave you the excuse to get a nice sweatshirt.

Yep, it's always nice to have an excuse to shop! I really would have been fine if I'd been smart enough to bring my sweatshirt that day!

I've strangely never been on Figment so I don't know what kind of weirdness might be on it, but yikes! Haha

You need to rectify that on your May trip! Then you can decide for yourself.

Oh goodness, that stinks you had to wait so long for your food. It's always a little annoying when that happens. At least it was worth it!

Yeah, it would have been really bad if the food wasn't yummy!

Can't wait to hear about MNSSHP!

Part 1 coming right up!

I have in my notes that we were back in the room by 3:00 pm which means we must have caught a bus right away after leaving Epcot. I’m getting to the point were I’m not remembering everything from this trip!

Jim laid down and slept for about an hour while I caught up on my trip journal and then read for a while. Jim can sleep just about any time, anywhere but I really can’t for some reason. We ended up getting dressed in our costumes and heading out of the room at 4:45 pm.

We saw quite a few costumes at the bus stop including one group of adults all dressed as super heroes. A bus came quickly and we pulled into the MK at 5:15 pm. We were meeting up with Ruthie again for the evening (Luvchefmic here on the DIS) so I was texting with her as we rode. She had an early dinner at The Plaza so we met up right outside of Tony’s.

First order of business was to stop for some pictures in our costumes! So what did we dress as?

Collette and Alfredo from Ratatouille of course! Ratatouille is Jim’s favorite Disney movie and when I was thinking of ideas for our costumes he immediately suggested that. The costumes were super easy to put together. I ordered the chef jackets from a uniform site, I think it was Happy Chef or something like that. A wig for me and a chef’s hat for Jim were the only other things I needed to buy. Jim already had the stuffed Remy that he put in the pocket of his jacket. It was a lot of fun to be dressed up that night and we got a ton of attention from other guests. I think Jim felt a little like a rock star because we even had people ask for pictures with us.

We continued on down Main Street and stopped again for some more pictures by the rose garden.

We still had about an hour till the party started and Jim mentioned that he wanted to meet Merida so we headed that way. Well the line was huge, probably over an hour wait so Jim said forget it. Instead we headed towards Storybook Circus because the first character meet we wanted to do was Donald and Daisy. Since Donald is Jim’s favorite that meet was a must do for us.

We ended up sitting on a wall by the tea cups for a half hour just watching the crowds and talking. It was during this time that a little boy came up to Jim and asked him if he could pet his rat. I thought that was hysterical and even funnier, it happened more than once during the night.

I had read on the internet that the Donald greet was near the entrance sign to Story Book Circus, but when we got there no one was around. We asked a CM who told us the greet would be back by the Pete’s Silly Side Show tent so we headed back that way. Along the way, we noticed that they had the pin popcorn board out front of the store so we stopped and I found a Pluto pin.

Then we had to stop and get a picture with the Pluto sign since both Ruthie and I have an insane love for that dog.

A CM came along and told Jim to get in the picture with us. And no, Jim is not that tall! He was standing one step up from me and Ruthie.

Don’t you love how Remy is holding the trick or treat bag for Jim?

We also saw a CM near the meet and greet with pins and both Jim and I traded. She had a Pluto pin that I had been looking for all week. We sat for a while in that area and that’s when we saw a most interesting costume. I can’t believe I didn’t try to sneak a picture. It was a lady dressed in a white astronaut costume. It was a one piece jump suit and was so skin tight you could tell there was absolutely nothing underneath. And to top it all off she had what looked like 3 inch spike heels on!

Right at 7 pm, they opened the candy station right there and we decided to walk through it. I asked again where the Donald greet was and this CM said it was back out by the sign, right where I thought it was going to be! I guess the first CM didn’t know or thought we were looking for the regular Donald greet.

We hurried back out to the front to find a pretty long line that must have formed after we headed towards the back of the area. Jim headed to get in line but Ruthie and I paused for a minute because the sunset was spectacular behind the castle. We both pulled out our cameras and I got some of my favorite pictures from the trip.

I’m not sure if I took this next one before or after the Donald greet but I’ll stick it here.

We waited about 15 minutes and then it was our turn to meet Donald and Daisy. While we waited, we watched the poor CM who was trying to explain to families without wrist bands that they needed to buy tickets or leave the park. I would not want that job!

Jim went first so he could get a picture with his main duck.

I joined in next and then Ruthie did too.

Overall it was a cute greet but I don’t remember at this point anything special about it. I was fun to see the characters in different costumes.

Those sunset pictures of the castle are gorgeous!

Great pics with Donald & Daisy!

WOW! the sunset pics are amazing. The costumes were great!!!

Your costumes are so awesome! That was such a good idea. I feel like Ratatouille is so underrated that it must be pretty rare to see people dressed up as characters from it. Love it!

That sunset is insane. Awesome pictures!

Love LOve LOVE your costumes. You both look great.

How cool to meet up with Ruthie. :thumbsup2

All caught up again!

The segway tour at WL looks so nice! I think my DH would like that even better than the Epcot one... something to think about lol You look like you did great despite being a little worried.

I LOVE your MNSSHP costumes! They look great and are really easy to pack, which is nice.

Great pictures of the sunset behind the castle, very pretty :)

First of all I can NOT say how much fun we had at this MNSSHP The best of it was ....well you know what ? .. it was ALL fun :thumbsup2

Your costumes were awesome I almost didn't recognize you with the dark hair when we first met up again You pulled if off great as Alfredo & Collette ( also one of my fave movies ! )

It was hysterical how Jim & Remy were received by other guests and the CMs We heard " Can I pet your rat ? " Many many times some didn't even ask and just did it :lmao:

I am definitely " stealing " your pictures ( well maybe not the first one good grief I look like I was smelling cabbage cooking :confused3 ) I would LOVE to do MNSSHP with you again sometime :thumbsup2

Thanks again on the pictures! Before long you are going to have me thinking I'm a professional or something. :rotfl2:

OK i am Furious there is NO picture of the AstroNUT!

I really should have tried to sneak a picture. Actually I should have just sent Jim to pose with her, I know he would have never refused that one! :lmao:

Your costumes were truly brilliant!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks, all credit goes to Jim though for the idea!

YAY FOR MNSSHP!!!
Love the costumes, they're fantastic! Ha that the "can i pet your rat?" question that's hilarious!

Jim came up with a great idea. No idea what possessed people to want to pet his rat but it was soooo funny.

Boo tot he cm thinking you wanted the normal donald meet and greet! Lol, but glad you got there eventually, and awesome sunset pics!!

I know, we probably lost about 20 minutes there but oh well, you can't get everything done in one MNSSHP any way.

Love your costumes!!

The picture where Remy is holding the treat bag is so cute!

Those sunset pictures of the castle are gorgeous!

Great pics with Donald & Daisy!

Thanks, it was a great start to our night!

WOW! the sunset pics are amazing. The costumes were great!!!

Thanks, we had a wonderful time that night!

Your costumes are so awesome! That was such a good idea. I feel like Ratatouille is so underrated that it must be pretty rare to see people dressed up as characters from it. Love it!

It is pretty underrated. We did not see any other costumes that night but I have seen some on the internet from other parties.

That sunset is insane. Awesome pictures!

That sunset was beautiful which made the picture taking easy!

Love LOve LOVE your costumes. You both look great.

How cool to meet up with Ruthie. :thumbsup2

Thanks, we had a wonderful time with Ruthie!

All caught up again!

The segway tour at WL looks so nice! I think my DH would like that even better than the Epcot one... something to think about lol You look like you did great despite being a little worried.

The tour was a lot of fun and is now the only one since they got rid of the Epcot one. I was worried a little but I did enjoy myself!

I LOVE your MNSSHP costumes! They look great and are really easy to pack, which is nice.

Yep, they didn't take up any room at all and were so easy to put together.

Great pictures of the sunset behind the castle, very pretty :)

Thanks!

First of all I can NOT say how much fun we had at this MNSSHP The best of it was ....well you know what ? .. it was ALL fun :thumbsup2

It was all fun!

Your costumes were awesome I almost didn't recognize you with the dark hair when we first met up again You pulled if off great as Alfredo & Collette ( also one of my fave movies ! )

Yeah, the dark hair did change my look completely, didn't it? I got a lot of complements from people at home and even a few suggestions that I should dye my hair black. I'm not much into changing my hair though.

It was hysterical how Jim & Remy were received by other guests and the CMs We heard " Can I pet your rat ? " Many many times some didn't even ask and just did it :lmao:

I know, I don't know what the obsession was there but it made for a humorous night!

I am definitely " stealing " your pictures ( well maybe not the first one good grief I look like I was smelling cabbage cooking :confused3 ) I would LOVE to do MNSSHP with you again sometime :thumbsup2

I think in the first one you are smelling a "rat"! :rotfl: Take a look, Remy is right in your face. Oh, and I have some of the pictures that are just you. If you want those, I can e-mail them to you!

Ariana, we were out of town with the kids this weekend, so I'm playing catch up again.

I LOVE your costumes. That is so funny that Jim was getting all of this attention because of Remy.

I'm glad you got to hook up and hang with Ruthie for the evening.

Great photopass pictures of ALL of you.

Our next destination for the night was the Haunted Mansion. I was hoping to ride plus I really wanted to get the special Photo Pass pictures that are offered during the party. We made our way there through NFL and Fantasyland stopping along the way at a few more candy stops. I know for sure we hit up the one inside of Pinocchio’s Village Haus because they gave out Werther’s Originals by the handful.

We arrived at the HM to find the line pretty long so I decided not to worry about riding since we had done so on our previous MK day. Instead we got in like to get a PP picture with the horseless carriage.

The mansion was looking extra spooky.

Even the pet cemetery was lit up for the party.

I have no idea whether it was Lady Renata or Madame Carlotta who was out heckling the guests in line. She was a little too far away for us to hear but I was able to zoom and get a picture.

After a few minutes wait, it was our turn to get photos. I am just going to say that I am not an actress in the least little bit. I have the worse time when the PP photographers ask me to do a certain pose. I learned from doing these photos that acting scared is just not within my ability while I am enjoying myself at WDW!

After we finished, we walked over near CHH where they were doing the second set of special PP pictures. Once again I failed miserable at looking scared.

After that picture, we split up and Ruthie headed off to find a place for the first parade. Jim really hates parades so I knew there was no way that he would tolerate watching both parades so I decided to just catch the second one. Instead, we turned towards Adventureland where I knew there was one more PP opportunity near Pirates.

I thought they would add something to this photo but there was nothing additional when we got the pictures. As you can see too, I didn’t add many borders to the photos from the party because here’s what they looked like with:

Just way too much going on there. Much better without the border.

While we were getting those pictures taken, we noticed the line for Jack Sparrow did not look too bad. Jim really wanted to meet him and we had time before the next thing on my schedule so we got in line.

We ended up waiting about 30 minutes because Jack took a bit of time with each guest. We saw one of the best costumes while waiting. A little kid was dressed as R2D2 and it was a pretty elaborate costume. He was ahead of us in line and I would have loved to hear with Jack said to him but we were too far back. I tried to take a picture of the costume but that area is so dark I couldn’t get one to come out. They had a lot of smoke piped in and it make the whole area very spooky looking.

When it was finally our turn, I took our bags to put by the PP photographer while Jim started a conversation with Jack. Here’s what he related to me after the greet:

Jack: Well Hello, nice hat, who are you?
Jim: I’m a chef, I’m your new cook.
Jack: What happened to my old cook?
Jim: I killed him.
Jack: Oh well, that’s nice.

It was at this time that I walked up not having heard any of the previous conversation. As I walked up, Jack turned to me and asked if Jim was a good cook. For some reason the question totally flustered me and my response was something like this “yes, he’s a good cook, he makes a great macaroni and cheese beef casserole thingy”. Yep, I used the word “thingy”. Basically what I was trying to describe was a dish that Jim makes often. He takes ground beef, browns it, makes a pot of Kraft Mac and Cheese, mixes both together and that’s dinner. Basically it’s homemade Hamburger Helper. What can I say, neither one of us has very sophisticated palates. I mean, come on now, I mostly live off of chicken tenders.

I was so flustered at that point that I’m not sure what else we talked about before we posed for some pictures. You can see how dark it was in that area, even the PP pictures are pretty dark.

As we were leaving, Jack told me to go and enjoy the macaroni and cheese beef casserole thingy. Yep, he quoted it back exactly like I said it too him word for word! We had so much fun during this greet, I’m really glad we decided to hop in line. Jim still talks about meeting Jack to this day.
