People with Cell phone and pictures.. or ipods... i cannot tell you how much it drives me insane...
Don't get me wrong i will take a picture with my cell phone. ONLY in a pinch.

I love that Jim wanted to lick his plate clean! That must have been some GOOD food! OMGoodness...you photobombed someone's picture!!!! That is awesome. I must do that some time!

I had tall people standing in front of me during the Castle Show too! I really wasn't able to concentrate on it the way I like to this time, too much going on around me...and if I can't SEE the entire thing, I get frustrated and tune it out. Yeah, I am a spoiled brat.

It is good food at BOG!

I did photobomb! The opportunity was just too good since my entire face was in their picture. I would never consider doing such a thing at home but being at Disney takes away a lot of my inhabitions.

It never fails for me. Wherever I pick to stand for the show, either someone tall is going to step in front of me or a parent is going to lift their kid up on their shoulders. I don't blame you for tuning it out, the shows just not as good without a full view!

I think I've mostly got the camera figured out. The only thing I'm still having trouble with is with zooming. For some reason when I zoom close onto something it goes blurry. Especially in the dark. I had a awful time with Fantasmic. The camera does have different focal lengths which I didn't discover till after we got home. I'm thinking that might have been my problem?

kinda... You have to have a very high ISO to be able to zoom that close and get a clear picture. even then you might blur out. Best way to practice? Take pictures of moving cars in the dark!
i am overly excited to go back with my lens and the dark rides...

LOL about photobombing, I would probably do that while I am at home - but I am weird like that... I guess it depends on where I am and what the photo was being taken of. But in Disney - Oh yah - with out a doubt! Gotta love that Disney makes you a little less shy.

Ouch! I actually am planning on using only my iPhone for pics on my next Disney trip. It takes much better pictures than my P&S camera! I can't afford a DSLR nor do I want to lug one around the parks unless my only goal was to take pictures and not do any attractions.

I'm a freelance photographer. so yep that's a pet peeve of mine.
i give crap to a friend of mine who only takes her phone with her too.
I am sure your very good at something which i am NOT (like chew gum and walk at the same time?) and it would bug you! we agree! I do lug mine around it is my goal to take the pictures while on rides! just makes me ride the rides a couple of times! One to enjoy two for pictures three for both and so on.. more like an excuse isn't it?!?!

I don't mind cell phones as they are about the same size as a camera but when people us an iPad then I don't like it. They are just so big that they tend to get in the way and be distracting. Did you read the story over on the Theme Park Board about the lady dropping her iPad over the side of the boat on Jungle Cruise? I think I would just have to laugh!

Yep it was the perfect opportunity to Photo Bomb. The Cheshire cat part is one of my favorites!

Something about Disney does make me less shy. Jim says I'm a different person both there and at the shelter I volunteer at. I guess it's because both things are something I am passionate about!

When I photograph shows like Wishes, I basically hold my camera up without looking and snap away so I can enjoy the show. With my old camera, I would have maybe one in every 5 photos turn out. With the new camera my percentage of good shots went up considerably. So sit back and enjoy the large amount of pictures that I took during Wishes that night.

Continuing with the Wishes photos.















When Wishes was over, we fought against the crowd and headed towards Tomorrowland to use our last FP+ for the night which was Space Mountain from 9:00 – 10:00 pm. I asked Jim along the way what he thought about Wishes and he said it was ok, just another fireworks show to him.



We were onto Space Mountain very quickly using our FP+. I got the front row which was lots of fun. Jim said he kept his eyes closed the whole time which I thought was pretty funny since the ride is dark and you can’t really see any ways. Here’s the ride photo.



He’s already got his eyes closed in that one! I of course had to ham it up for the camera a little bit which Jim thought was the coolest thing ever. After that he asked me on every ride where the camera was so he could try and pose. I don’t think he managed a pose though till the very last ride we did.



After SM we were both getting tired and I knew we still needed to get our food order and also stop at the front desk to get the pin number added to our MBs. So we headed out of the park. It was still pretty crowded.







There was still a long line at the bus stop when we got there so we didn’t get on the first bus. A second one came quickly but it took a few minutes to get going because there was a wheelchair to load. At CSR the bus stops first at the Casitas and circles around with the last stop being at El Centro. We had planned to ride all the way around to the front but realized that they were going to unload the wheelchair at the first stop. We decided to hop off and walk, thinking it might be quicker than waiting through the rest of the stops. It turned out to be a little further of a walk than I thought it would be and we were hurrying a bit so I didn’t take any night pictures at that time.

We made it to the front desk and waited for a while because there was a very angry customer at the desk. No idea what the problem was but they had three CMs helping him. The one CM who I think was a manager just keep apologizing over and over for whatever was wrong. I think there must have been some problem with the room they were given and they didn’t have another room to give them. I guess the resort was fully booked or they wanted a specific type of room that wasn’t available? The CM gave them the option of trying to find another resort to stay at and the guy went off to discuss with his family. The poor CM that had been dealing with him called us up and I nicely explained our problem with the pin. She seemed very relieved that our problem was an easy one to fix. Next time I will know to make sure they add a pin to the MB at check-in. We were out of there in a few minutes and headed towards Panchito’s so I have no idea how the whole situation with the angry guest was resolved.

I wanted to go to Panchito’s to buy some milk for my cereal. I didn’t order it with my Garden Grocer order because I didn’t know if we would have a refrigerator. We did have one so now I needed some milk. Jim got distracted by the pins while I was in the drinks section. He ended up purchasing two pins and also a Donald Duck magnet for work.



He decided at that point to look for Pirate and Star Wars pins to trade for.

After we made our purchases, we stopped at the Bell Services desk and asked for our food to be delivered. I thought about just carrying it back but we had a large case of water and a case of Tab for Jim (I’ve said it before, he is very much stuck in the 80s). I ended up seriously regretting this decision as you will see in a moment. The CM at Bell Services said they would bring it right out to our room so we left and headed back there to meet them.

We got back into our room a little after 11 pm. I spent some time switching my purse around, unpacking, and getting stuff set out for the next morning. I took a picture of my pin trades for the day.



The one in the top left with Pluto and the castle is the one I got at the DVC desk when we first checked in. No matter how much I rack my brain, I have no recollection as to where I traded for the other three. I was very excited to find the Big Al one. I had found a Country Bear Jamboree pin when I was there in March and wanted to find the other ones in the set. There was a total of 6 so I had three now, three more to go.

While I was doing all that stuff, Jim had fun going through my trader pins and loading up his new lanyard. He ended up keeping a few but I didn’t take any pictures of those.



Sometime around 11:30 Jim decided to call again and see where our food was. He was told that they were backed up and would get there when they could. He gave up at that point and when to bed. I turned out the lights and laid down around midnight. Finally at 12:30 am right when I had just drifted off to sleep there was a knock on our door and our food was delivered. It took them an hour and ½ from the time we stopped at the desk to get there. I was extremely unhappy at this point with CSR. Between the long wait for our food, the long wait for a bus and the weird bathroom I was ready to cross it off the list for future trips.

Your pins were great! I loved the Big Al one too! I do remember when you started that collection!

So stinking frustrating with the grocery delivery!!! That is exactly how I felt in May when we were waiting to have our new mattresses delivered. Delivery was scheduled between 5-8 pm...and you deliver them at 11:00 pm, REALLY?!? Yeah, still haven't gotten over that one.

Ariana, you go twonderful photos of the castle and Wishes. What kind of camera did you get? I'm in the market for a new one.

I'm sorry for all the issues at the CSR. It sounds like several of the issues we had at the Beach Club in June. I hope things get better as the trip progresses.
