Rock On!! Because Devil Horns Do Belong at Disney. An Oct TR Updated 9/5 x10!

We haven't done the Villians show in our two halloween trips, but if we go this year, I'd like to rectify that.

I'm with you...Hallowishes is awesome and worth the price of the ticket. I will say thought that I prefer the Christmas Wishes show...but that's just my preference of the holiday as I am not a big Halloween fan in general.

You got some great shots of Hallowishes and I really enjoyed seeing them.

Uh oh...doesn't sound good about Jim. :(

Lovely shots from Hallowishes. The colours they put on are just fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

Ruthie - great shot of the headless horseman. :thumbsup2

Thank you my dear friend I was very happy with the series of shots I got but coming from you I am flattered

If anyone doesn't know why I feel that way, PIO has been documenting her cross country USA trip amazing shots Wouldn't you agree Ariana ?

Hallowishes and the MNSSHP parades are the best thing that WDW puts on IMHO no matter what else they come up with I have gone to MVMCP I think twice, nice but thrown into the " done with that " bin and BTW " Boo to You " now get that out of your head today...I dare you

I haven't made it to the Christmas Party yet but I plan on doing it later this year mainly to say been there done that. I don't expect that I will want to hurry back again.

alright since I have your permission I will post one :

Beautiful shot! A million times better than what I got as you'll see in a minute.

These are KILLER shots.. :worship: KILLER...
Can you please send me the original? I would like to play around with them and send them back to you...

Do you want me to e-mail them to you? Is so, PM me your e-mail and I'll do so.

Definitely didn't bore me with those HalloWishes pictures, they came out awesome! Such a fabulous show.

It was an amazing show!

It was interesting, that's all I'm going to say. The dance the Queen of Hearts does at the end is hilarious.

I haven't seen the Christmas one yet but hope to change that this year!

Thanks, yeah the last bit wasn't the best for him.

I did love the halloween colors they used during the show!

Definitely, her photography is beautiful!

While I was waiting for Jim to come back from the restroom, I got a little bored and took another picture of Main Street. I loved the spooky colors for Halloween.

Jim came back just as they were announcing the headless horseman. He asked me to hand him his bag which he had left with me and in that split second I reached down to get it for him, I MISSED THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN! I was not a happy camper. Here’s the extremely blurry pictures I got of his backside.

Horrible aren’t they?

Between the horseman and the actual parade, there’s quite a pause but they have a “Creeper Crew” that entertains the crowds. Oh and they were selling Halloween themed balloons too.

Here comes the Creeper Crew:

They pulled kids and unsuspecting adults out into the street to dance.

The guy in the number 22 jersey was not thrilled but his family pushed him out when he was chosen. He did get into the dancing a bit.

Ruthie found us while the dancing was going on and then it was time for the parade! Once again my pictures aren’t the best. My camera does great in the dark for things that are not moving but with the parade, everything was moving! Plus the lady on the scooter had her entire family join her, probably another 5 or 6 people so I didn’t have quite the view I thought I would.

It was cute to see the characters in their Halloween costumes.

Pirates twirling flags. Um, ok, found that a little weird. Aren’t they supposed to have swords, not flags? Made me think of my high school marching band.

Here comes Jack!

Haunted Mansion section. I did not get a very good picture of the caretaker and his dog.

Here come the ballroom dancers that everyone talks about.

And then it was time for a hoe-down.

I was so looking forward to seeing Big Al and for once I got a descent picture.

I really need to get to a Christmas Party so I can meet him!

Villain time!

Pluto!

When the parade finished, Ruthie wanted to get a Pumpkin Waffle at Sleepy Hollow so we headed that way. While she was ordering, I noticed that the castle looked really pretty from that angle.

Jim had mentioned earlier about meeting some of the Princesses so we headed into Fantasyland and got in line for whichever side was shorter. I have no idea who it was but probably not Rapunzel. Ruthie decided not to join us and headed off in search of a restroom instead. I took a couple of pictures in the hall.

Then I noticed that Jim was getting pretty grumpy. I asked him if he really wanted to wait and he said no so we headed back out and waited there for a minute till Ruthie came back. She wanted to meet Jack and Sally and I wanted to go to see talking Mickey so we headed back towards the front. Here’s the last picture I took that night before we walked through the castle.

When we got to the front the line for Jack and Sally was still really long so Ruthie choose to head out. Jim and I headed over towards the Mickey meet and that was when I finally got him to tell me what was wrong. Apparently he had not been able to go to the bathroom all night. His shy bladder had kicked in, whether it was from the big crowds or the pressure of being with an extra person (no worries Ruthie, it happens all the time) he was miserable. So I said lets go. We headed out of the park about 11:45 pm. There was a long line at the bus stop but we managed to get on the second bus that came and made it back to the room about 12:30 pm. Jim was very relieved to have a private bathroom again.

I took some pictures of the pins we traded for during the day. I got both of mine at the party. The Pluto car was the one I was looking for all week.

No idea when during the day that Jim traded for his.

We were exhausted and made it to bed around 1 am. I absolutely loved MNSSHP and will definitely go again in the future. My only complaint is that there was just not enough time to do everything we wanted. But I guess that’s how Disney keeps you coming back for more! Mom and I are going back this fall to WDW but we will not be doing MNSSHP while we are there. Mom is just not a fan of parades, fireworks or character greets and that’s really what the party is about. Plus we are trying to make the trip as cheap as possible for her as this will be the second time we are going in 2014. I thought about gifting a party for her birthday but I know my Mom well enough to know that she just would not enjoy the party. I’m sure I’ll get back there someday for another one!

Holy cow i was way behind OMG that bear room AGGGHHHH that's a lot Hailey would love that giraffe in there and my fave are the m&m bears those are super cute!,Love the pluto rhinestone shirt and the mickey sweatshirt.I also saw one of those black snakes in disney,by the pool at PORS but the one I saw was really tiny.At first i thought it was a black worm until I realised by the head shape that it was actually a snake. also I love all the cute pics of you n Jim smoochin you guys are adorable! and the chocolate mousse from Ak looks amazing.Oh and I although I'm slightly disappointed that you didn't dress up as a bagel and a banana for the Halloween party I will forgive you this time LOL. I'm excited to see whats next.

Fun update, Ariana. It is so hard to get pictures of "moving" people...so I feel your pain. But you did pretty good, and the picture of Big Al turned out well.

Sorry the lines for the characters was so long. We may or may not be doing the Halloween Party in September. Mark and I swore we wouldn't do them anymore because Disney oversells them and it is impossible to get much done. But long-time DIS friends are going to be there with their kids and we might do it with them just to have some quality time with them.

I'm sorry Jim was having issues again, but glad it all rectified itself when you got back to the room.

Neat pins.

You and I should really start sharing each others photos from that night I got a lousy blurry Big Al and yours was perfect I managed to get an awesome moving/dancing picture of one of the ghost couples Unfortunately neither one of us got a decent picture of the dog and the cemetery grounds keeper That's the next one for me to figure out exactly where to put myself for that one I've been trying for years

Yes that pumpkin waffle thing at Sleepy Hollow was terrific except next time I will ask them to not add those tiny confetti hard candy sprinkles on top of it Not sure if you remember but I thought I broke a tooth that night because of them ( I didn't but boy that was panic city for a few minutes )

I THOUGHT Jim wasn't feeling well but wasn't sure Sorry to hear that

Loving your updates :goodvibes makes me feel like we were there yesterday Nice memories

Uh Oh not a Pluto shirt ??? There's always eBay

Great update from MNSSHP. I love the colours of this parade. It's so fun and creepy at the same time.

Jim has a shy bladder? (Does he know that you shared that information??? That's okay. It's just us, right?)

UGH

as soon as I opened your tr I put on mnsshp on my ipod lol!!

Obviously I've rambled enough on my own tr's to know how much I love me some mnsshp!!

Glad you guys enjoyed everything that the party has to offer, the shows and fireworks and parades truly are amazing!!

Yep, I do have a lot of bears, don't I? Mom just sent me a new one for St. Patrick's Day. She really is the one that feeds that addiction.

That's the second time I've seen a snake at WDW. I guess that's what happens when you build an amusement park on a swamp.

I love that chocolate mousse, it's probably my favorite counter service dessert!

Didn't even think about a bagel and a banana. :rotfl:

These are awesome!!!!

I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you are going to love it so much!

Fun update, Ariana. It is so hard to get pictures of "moving" people...so I feel your pain. But you did pretty good, and the picture of Big Al turned out well.

Yeah, I was slightly disappointed with the pictures but I don't think I would ever want to upgrade to a fancier camera. I just don't have the patience to learn one. :lmao: I do like that picture of Big Al!

It did seem like there was not enough time to do everything but I guess they can't shut down the park all day for the party. While some areas of the park were crowded, other areas like Adventureland were pretty deserted. I think it would be fun to go with kids to the party.

I'm sorry Jim was having issues again, but glad it all rectified itself when you got back to the room.

Yeah, he gets so frustrated at times when that happens. I think he was especially upset on this night because he had been doing really well at the beginning of the trip.

Neat pins.

Thanks, I love the Pluto car one.

I'll send you whatever photos you want, just let me know.

I totally forgot that you thought you had broken a tooth. That was why you didn't join us for the princesses. This trip is starting to get fuzzy in my brain. :lmao:

I THOUGHT Jim wasn't feeling well but wasn't sure Sorry to hear that

Like I said it was no big deal, it happens almost any time we travel. I've gotten used to it over the years. I was too focused on the party and missed the signs or I may have sent him back to the room after the parade and you and I could have continued with the party.

Loving your updates :goodvibes makes me feel like we were there yesterday Nice memories

Uh Oh not a Pluto shirt ??? There's always eBay

Nope, not a Pluto shirt I would have bought that immediately.

Great update from MNSSHP. I love the colours of this parade. It's so fun and creepy at the same time.

It was a lot of fun, I loved how they decorated the park for the party.

Jim has a shy bladder? (Does he know that you shared that information??? That's okay. It's just us, right?)

He probably doesn't know, he could care less about these boards, but he is pretty open about it so I don't think he would care. I debated about mentioning it but I really couldn't tell the whole story without bringing it up.

UGH

as soon as I opened your tr I put on mnsshp on my ipod lol!!

I thought about including a link to the music but I was too lazy to go and search one out. :rotfl:

Obviously I've rambled enough on my own tr's to know how much I love me some mnsshp!!

Yep I know you do!

Glad you guys enjoyed everything that the party has to offer, the shows and fireworks and parades truly are amazing!!

It was amazing! I would have liked a few more hours to do some more of the meet and greets.

I did not set an alarm for Friday morning since we were up so late the night before. I ended up waking up sometime around 8 am. Jim of course was already up, no clue what time he actually woke up though.

We got the dreaded DME envelope on the door but for some reason there was no time for our bus so I had to call. I got that settled, we would be leaving at 10:45 am the next morning.

We headed out about 10 am with plans to catch a bus to Downtown Disney. I wanted to do a little more shopping, specifically pick up the t-shirt I wanted and then we were going to have lunch at WPE. Then we would either go to Disney Quest or back to Epcot, I was going to let Jim choose. We got to the bus stop and waited and waited and waited. Bus after bus went by but no DTD one. Finally when the third Epcot bus pulled up I decided to forget DTD and the t-shirt I wanted and we got on.

We got to Epcot around 11 am and since it’s only a short drive from CSR, I’m thinking we waited over a half hour at the bus stop. We must have made a bathroom stop outside of the gates because the first pictures I have from the day are these.

We headed to the Seas building where I had to stop and get a picture with my Crush bag.

There was no line for Nemo so we headed that direction and I ended up doing quite the photo shoot of the line and ride.

We headed upstairs next to the aquarium because I wanted to see if I could spot some of the Sea Turtles. No luck but we did see lots of fish as usual.

It didn’t take long for Jim to get bored, he is not a “look at animals” kind of guy, so we headed back downstairs. I was fine skipping the other rooms but I wanted to see the Manatees. They always fascinate me. Unfortunately this is what I was greeted with:

The area was closed for renovation. Instead we headed towards Turtle Talk with Crush because I wanted Jim to see the show and I was also hoping that Crush might notice my bag. We ended up pretty far to the back though so my bag was not visible.

The show was cute as usual. Crush actually spent some time picking on a Dad in the audience. I can’t remember exactly what he talked to him about at this point but I do remember it being hilarious.

Grr I'm so sorry you missed the headless horseman :(

Ah I'm so sorry about Jim's troubles. You guys still stayed til pretty much the end of the party though!

I'm glad you loved the party! It's definitely hard to do everything you want to do in one night. I hope you make it to another in the future!

How frustrating that there were no DTD buses! I guess it helped make your decision though!

Shame about your t-shirt and not making it to DTD. But looks like you had a nice start at Epcot with The Seas.

That's a lovely Crush bag. :thumbsup2

I couldn't believe how fast he went by!

Ah I'm so sorry about Jim's troubles. You guys still stayed til pretty much the end of the party though!

Yeah, we did make it almost to the end. I was getting tired myself so I wasn't too sad to leave.

I'm glad you loved the party! It's definitely hard to do everything you want to do in one night. I hope you make it to another in the future!

I don't think I'll make it back to one this year but definitely sometime in the future!

How frustrating that there were no DTD buses! I guess it helped make your decision though!

I was not happy at the time but it worked out in the end as you will see in the next update! We did not have the best bus luck at CSR.

Shame about your t-shirt and not making it to DTD. But looks like you had a nice start at Epcot with The Seas.

We did have a nice time and everything did work out as you'll see soon.

That's a lovely Crush bag. :thumbsup2

Thanks, I love my custom bags!

RIGHTEOUS RIGHTEOUS RIGHTEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DUDE!! :rotfl:

Fantastic pictures! What tee were you looking for??? Sorry about the manatees!

You'll see here in a minute about the T-shirt. I was so bummed about the manatees!

We were getting hungry after we finished Turtle Talk so I steered us towards the Land building and Sunshine Seasons.

Jim got some kind of Roast Beef sandwich and a brownie for dessert.

I got my go-to meal from Sunshine Seasons, rotisserie chicken and chocolate mousse cake.

Jim loved this meal. I was texting with Ruthie because she was thinking of maybe joining us again and when I looked up after a minute his plates were pretty much licked clean. I had barely started eating at that point! Ruthie wasn’t able to join us so we finished up eating, mine was also yummy, and then headed to Living with the Land for a spin through the gardens. This ride has special memories for Jim from our Honeymoon. If you didn’t read the PTR to this TR where I talked about our Honeymoon trip, here’s an excerpt from our Garden Grill lunch:

“The best part of the meal though was the banter with our waitress. As we were circling through the scenes of the Living with the Land ride, Jim saw the chickens in the farm house scene and was convinced they were real. So much so that he asked our waitress if they were. Without missing a beat she said “Of course they are. We just nail their feet to the ground so they don’t go anywhere”. Jim turned to me and “I told you so” almost came out of his mouth before he realized what she said.”

Jim still talks about those chickens so it was a must do for us to visit them this trip. I was determined to get a picture of them this time with my new camera. I had never been able to get them to come out in the past. I was somewhat encouraged by this photo from the beginning of the ride.

Yay, there’s one of the chickens!

Jim was very glad to see they were still hanging out in the same spot as 15 years ago. Continuing with the ride photos since you know I took a ton.

I don’t think I’ve ever noticed this hidden Mickey before:

A few fall decorations on the ride.
