Hey I had back surgey at age 17 got a metal rod in my back cause I had scoliosis im 25 years old now and completely healed from it I been healed for a long time. I dont see that back doctor anymore i would like to do rocking rollar coaster with my brother the muppets theme do you think I am able to do it? I have never done rockin rollar coaster ever!

This really is an answer only a doctor can answer. What I will say is that Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is a very rough roller coaster so if you've been advised to avoid them, I would avoid this one for sure! I can do all roller coasters but this one will not be one I frequent often as it's just too rough for me. (When we rode the old version in December it knocked my teen around so badly that she lost her earring as it knocked it right out her ear and we could not find it.)

Also, I would abide by the warning sign that will be posted outside this attraction which I would recommend taking seriously.

You can go through the queue and see all of that and then exit before boarding the vehicle.

Call your doctor and ask.

Were you given any long-term restrictions after you had rehabbed from the surgery? If you are no longer seeing the specialist, I advise at least asking your PCP. Personally, I wouldn't risk it but I'm not a big coaster fan anyway.

Rockin' Rollercoaster is pretty rough. It's one of only three coasters I've ever been on that gives me a pretty intense headache after a single ride-through. I would call your doctor to ask just to be sure.

I can't really do Rockin Roller Coaster because it's so rough... but I don't find it rough on the body, just my head. My head just bangs around so much and I can't seem to control it. It hits the pull down safety device back and forth the entire time I ride it. I do plan to ride it once though now that it has been rethemed just to experience the new version.

Check with your doctor. I have "back problems" and I do ride it. It hasn't caused any damage yet, though it is usually a once-per-trip ride for me.

Another person who feels RnRC is very rough. I do it less and less as I get older - although I will need to experience the Muppets! But I have no current physical concerns to make me question riding, just the normal headache for a couple hours after I'm done! Seems like if anyone is in doubt, riding is NOT the way to go. But agree with others - ask your medical professional, hopefully one who has ridden that coaster!

If you do decide to go on, I would suggest that as soon as the train leaves the boarding area and rounds the corner, that you keep your head pushed back firmly against the headrest. You will hear the countdown and then the ride starts with a jolt that will push you back into your seat. If you get distracted and your head is not back, it can cause some issues even without your surgery.

You may also want to keep your legs firmly against the ride vehicle as well. On one takeoff, my wife actually ended up with bruised legs. Not sure she was positioned best for the takeoff and I think it pushed her legs back as well.

Having said all that, I still love the ride. My wife is not as big a fan. She went on it a few months ago for the first time in forever and didn't have any issues so I'm hoping she will make it for the new Muppets version as well, but we will see.

Sorry, but since you still have limited back problems… I’m afraid you can only experience the new Muppets version of Rock N Roller Coaster virtually.

Yes - head back. Important tip.

I’d also recommend asking to ride near the front. It’s a little less rough there - but still a lot of head bouncing and banging on the padded restraints.
