My son (8) really wants a Roboraptor for xmas. I was looking into them and they are around $100-$120.00. Does anyone have one? Is it worth the money? Any discounts seen yet for the Roboraptor?

Our linens n things had them for $99, and then you could use your 20% off coupon for them. The coupons usually come 2-3 times a month in the newspapers, and sometimes in the mail on a postcard.

They also take Bed Bath & Beyond coupons. So 20% off brings it down to $80!

I am really thinking of getting one for my daughter. My son has the Robosapien (from last year) and he likes it.

FYI - if you do buy anything at Sharper Image (lots of other places too btw) go to www.schoolmall.com and then type in the name of your local school, chances are that you'll be able to have a portion of whatever you spend go to your school!!

My son has the small Roboraptor from TRU. It is really cute, not remote controlled though. It walks and his tail swings behind him. I think it was 12.99

He wants the big one, but I haven't decided if we are going to get it for him or not.

I babysit for an 8 year old boy who just got the Roboraptor for his birthday. While I think it looks and acts cool, I don't see why anyone would pay $100 for it. I played with it a bit and all it did was move forwards and backwards, turn its head and roar, and roar some more. And to beat it all, his birthday was the Friday before last and when I went there today, his mom told me that he doesn't even play with it anymore. And this is coming from an 8 year old who loves anything to do with science and dinosaurs.

I saw the Roborapter at Sam's Club today with the miniRaptor for $99.00. I googled it & saw it for $79.99 & $75.00 - don't recall where. I am watching for a Black Friday super duper discount before deciding if it will be under our tree.
