Ohh!! A tough set of characters to find sometimes! It seems that sometimes Disney is in the mood to use them, and other times they are nowhere to be found! There are five different characters from the movie who meet: Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, Sheriff of Nottingham, Prince John, and Little John. :)

Robin Hood has been hard to find recently! We seen him in Town Square at Magic Kingdom, and also in Adventureland, but those locations aren't being used for him right now. Can always try asking at Guest Services, maybe!

Friar Tuck pops up a lot in the entrance area to Animal Kingdom, in between the bag check and the ticket turnstiles. He used to be in Town Square (the big courtyard after entering Magic Kingdom) but not recently.

Sheriff of Nottingham tend to pop up in castmember character "training" locations. These locations include the Toontown Train Station, the American Adventure, and maybe also by the Big Hat at MGM. Very random appearances!

Little John is probably hopeless, he hasn't been out in months! But if he were out, he would probably be a Magic Kingdom, either at the ToonTown Train Station, maybe Adventureland, maybe Town Square. Very rare character!

Prince John pops up here and there! We used to see him everywhere, but on recent trips, not as much. Maybe the ToonTown Train Station, or the Big Hat at MGM. We even seen him at the entrance to Animal Kingdom, and also once in the Character Connection at Epcot.

As always, ask at Guest Services, as they may be helpful with Friar Tuck, not sure if they would know anything about the others! Well, hope you stumble upon some of those characters - have a great time on your trip!! :teeth:

ahhh the Robin Hood characters what I wouldnt give to have pics with them! I have only had the pleasure of seeing Friar Tuck once and that was my trip to MK in 98. Since then going back to Disney everytime I ask a CM about Robin Hood characters they look at me funny and then recover by saying "you just never know sometimes they can pop out here and there be on the look out" ( not exactly phrased that way but you get the gist ). My hubby who is FL born and bred and had season passes and went every weekend and sometimes during the week while growing up has never once seen them either. IMHO they need to bring some old Disney back the main tourists nowadays are those that grew up in the early 70's to late 80's returning with their kids. So seeing Robin Hood characters or Peter Pan or more extended characters from other Disney movies of that time (Mary Poppins too would love to see that guy that lived next door and set off the cannons walking around haha) would be AWESOME! I am happy to hear from another thread they have Cinderella's step sisters and step mother out and about.. GOOD! As a child of the late 70's early 80's Id love to have a pic with Maid Marian while my son enjoys his pics with the characters of today (Buzz, stitch, sully etc) I often wonder if Disney thought that maybe no one would know who they were walking around but I beg to differ us adults still live for the magic and would remember. Thats why I go A LOT! lol

I suspect the whole lot will be out even maid marion when the DVD special edition is released.

When is that??? Will they stay out for awhile???

"The Most Wanted Edition" already released on DVD November 28, 2006.

Robin Hood has always been my favorite Disney character, and I'm bummed he's not out more often, but I get he's not very popular.

In 2004, I was able to get a picture with him. We spotted him along the path between Toontown and Tomorrowland, but by the time we got off the train to get over to him, he was gone. So I asked about him and found out he was going to be behind the Christmas shop at MK the next day...and I was able to get my pic with him.

In 2005, I got a pic with Friar Tuck in Town Square in the morning. One afternoon, I got a pic with Prince John and the Sheriff at MGM by the hat.

This past September, I got a pic with Robin Hood and Friar Tuck at MGM by the hat during the afternoon.

The only Robin Hood character I saw on either of my 2006 trips was Prince John near the Hat at MGM. I think he's pretty random there, but it's worth a shot to see if he's there.

We saw Robin Hood and Prince John at Epcot this past Christmas Eve. My daughter got pictures and autographs.

I saw Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, and Prince John all in the Town Square at MK last April, but I don't know if they've stopped using that location... hm.

I saw them in August in front of the hat at MGM, several times. The first time it was frier tuck, robin hood, and prince john, and frier tuck married robin hood and I. I then kept going back to find them, saw just robin hood by himself one day.
In december/january I don't saw frier tuck out with 2 other character that i couldn't place, but didn't stand in line for them thinking by the time i got near the front that stich thing was going to be out and i won't wait in line for that.

Thanks for all the info, everyone!! Robin Hood is a favorite (especially since I grew up shooting competitive archery) and I agree with the poster that said Disney needs to trot out the "old" characters that us "old folk" in our late twenties/mid-thirties remember and grew up with. I will be on the look out when vacationing in May and let you know if I am successful on my "hunt" for Hood!!

Robin Hood et al, is probably not as popular because there have been so many current hit characters. Robin Hood, along with a few others is my DD4's favorite classic Disney movie. I hide the newer Disney movies and she is hooked on some of the earlier ones now. Moms, Dads and caretakers, help your littler ones watch the classics! They will love them!

My daughter has had her picture taken with Robin Hood, Friar Tuck and Prince John....all in Magic Kingdom!

I always see Prince John in the Town Square at the Magic Kingdom, he seems to hang out with King Louie. I also saw Friar Tuck and Robin Hood in the Town Square on the same trip. I have never seen Little John or the Sheriff of Nottingham.

My son got autograph and picture with Friar Tuck at MGM in June 05.

We ran into Robin Hood one day in the store attached to the Character Tent in Toontown. It was a rainy day.

I'm guessing that it must be a fairly new situation that they aren't out because I have tons of pictures of my dd with all of the Robin Hood characters -- we've sought them out b/c Robin Hood is my mom's fave Disney movie, too. The last ones we got were last summer in MK - the train station when tons of characters are out as the MK opened. I also think that since they've re-released the movie that perhaps they'll starting bringing out the characters again. We can all hope.

Tristan & Shea with Little John & Robin Hood, I think it was early 2006 sometime. If they are out it's usually in Town Square, Friar Tuck & Prince John we're also there.
