Anyone else doing RobertSDCA's quest?

I've spent the better part of an hour going back and forth, mostly waiting to get back in the room. Note to self: this is how you get three red mickeys for days on end!

It would help if I could keep the doors straight, lol.

Anyone finish? What'd you win?

I gave up.

The rocketship closest to the gold door was magenta, but there was no magenta choice. There was no red choice. The next nearest that was a choice was blue, and that was wrong. Waste of 90 minutes, but at least I could DIS while I was waiting. . . and waiting. . .and waiting. . .

Just can't sit in that line one more time.

I started this quest when there wasn't a line. But, there are so many incorrect answers that I quit out of frustration. I consider myself good at quests but playing one where the correct answers are not given credit or none of the options given are correct is not worth my time. I find it hard to believe that the VMK judging staff actually played this quest to give it a Best Quest Award.

Yes, there is an early question with two answers that are "correct" but only one will let you advance. Of course, I chose the other color of presents not on Main Street and got to stand in line again for that too.

What i did was search for "robert" on the popular rooms. that way you don't have to pick the right door. He always gives the name of the room to go in next. If you just search "robert" it gives a list of all his rooms and you can go right in. Of course the main one still has a half hour wait but this trick makes it a little easier to get into the other rooms.

I played last night and won an Everest 5/5 pin! :woohoo: I have to admit, I started getting very annoyed with the line. I suppose it was strategy, making the room with teleporters also the entry way to begin the quest. I usually jumped into the line as the 48th or so person, so it felt like I was in a queue for a host game, haha. But the prizes were too great to give up.

Sad to say, but the staff does not actually DO the quests! I see this as a problem, as well. There are many great quests out there, but if staff doesn't actually run through them, what are they basing their winners on? :confused3

he already won with this quest not even 2 months ago. same exact rooms and even the main lobby is the same. this is ridiculous. some of us cant even win once and yet they give the award 2x to the same room?

here are the pics from vmk.com this is the quest from Sept

they are both 99% the same except for the christmas stuff. good grief come on vmk

I see that CL_RobertSDCA won the best quest this week....no offense, but I am not sure it was best, but just was "Top of the Popular" list because of the way it is designed. All I know was it was find a jewel, wait through 40 people to get back into the main room, sit, go to another room, find a skull, sit, wait through 48 people to get back into the main room, find a clover, sit, wait through 32 people to get back into the main room, etc. It was designed to fill up the room, but not a very good user experience at all. I took me 2 hours with all the waiting to get a 100 credits.

I'd have to agree. I got so annoyed, I left the quest halfway in. I can't believe that won something. I guess that goes to show that Staff doesn't do the quest before giving the award. They just see that everyone else likes it.

I played the quest and finish...45 mins, when i should have been studying....
I got the credit prize. It was quite fun, i like playing the quest i know i actually can do. i was hoping for a hat though, i could of traded it, and got some stuff for it.

I agree. I wasn't aware that they didn't even do the quests before judging them. That's just wrong. How on earth could they possibly know what is a good quest and what is a bad quest?
:confused3 :confused3
