What are they building outside of Roaring Forks at WL?

We are thinking about going to the Lodge in November and were wondering if the boarded up areas on the south side of the lobby will be down and back to normal?

Also will the new bar and grill be open by November?

Geyser Peak, the new QS, will be open during the Roaring Fork refurb. My understanding is that they will both be operational by November, and that GP is not replacing RF. It would be odd not to have QS in the main building for a number of reasons.

The new bar & grill is opening in February.

Why do they need to close the indoor portion of the restaurant to put a roof on the outdoor seating?

So that people won't try to walk through a construction zone.

It probably depends on how they anchor the new roof to the existing structure.

They don't have to...it can be accessed from inside the building.

But wouldn't people try to get to the outdoor seating from the restaurant? (And trust me, the fact that they're doing construction on the outdoor seating area wouldn't stop some people from trying to use it.)

There may be multiple structural, functional or even insurance reasons for the closure. Doesn't really matter, save that RF will be closed for refurb.
