RnRRC and Fantasmic Rehabs

I have started to see rumblings of a 1 to 2 week rehab of the RnRRC in mid September and that Fantasmic will close after the Summer season for a major rehab.

Has anyone else seen or heard anything?? I can't get anything from the people I know down there. The only say that both attractions are having major problems with their systems and need work.

If this is true that means that BTMRR, RnRRC and Fantasmic will be closed at the same time. This really stinks and I think that Disney better wake up and take a look at what they are doing. They put this great deal on to get people to come and visit. Then they shut the doors on 3 of their major rides, not to smart. I am sure that they coud keep the attractions going until January or at least stagger them so it isn't such a hit on things to do.

Lets hope that it is only gosip.

Awww Man, say it isn't so!! I hope this is not gonna happen. Missing one or maybe 2 things each time we go down isn't so bad, but I'm hearing a total of 4-5 things are gonna be kaput!! I hope the weather is good!! I know the food is excellent. and I hope the shows kick butt. Yeah, I can still have a great vacation- after all, it's Disney!!!

If this is true, then my vacation is going to hit smack in the middle of all them being down. Honestly, if I hadn't already purchased our MNSSHP tickets, I may reconsider this trip. I'm going to email Disney, even though I'm sure I'll get an automated response.

Say it isn't so! If this is true, I am thinking about rebooking in December. Right now, rumor has it that BTMRR, RNRC and Fantasmic will be down. Mickey's Philharmagic will not be up yet, and who knows about the schedule for Spectro. I am thinking that my September plans may be down the tubes.

Well, the RnRC needs a rehab quite badly - that track doesn't play kindly with the trains, and things have gotten pretty bumpy. Also, lots of the wallpaper in the queue is once again missing.

So while I haven't heard anything to confirm a rehab in September, it wouldn't surprise me.

Just curious, how far before do rehabs/closures usually get announced? I have until 8/5 to cancel, so I will be watching closely.

Well, Eyes & Ears comes out 2 times a month, I think. So, when I go to work tonight to pick up my Boyfriend and I will post either tomight or tomorrow if rehabs are in there. So, if it has not been announced in this one maybe in a few weeks...I wish I had a better answer for you.

The Fantasmic rumor was posted here last week and someone replied saying it was actually scheduled for 2004. Sorry, I dont remember what post that was in to give the link, but I know I read it here.

Thanks Cam - although I wouldn't be happy about the closure of two roller coasters at the same time, the Fantasmic closing and lack fo Spectro anticipated was really throwing me for a loop. Hopefully, this is all just rumor. I guess I will hang tight for a while.

I have a friend who has a pretty important position at Fantasmic, and he has confirmed that there are no major rehabs scheduled for the show in the near future. The show should not be dark in September.

Thanks that makes me feel alittle better since we are going with my parents and they haven't seen either of these attractions before. At least Fantasmic will be open. Now I have to hope that we will get lucky on RnRRC.
