My 7 th month mark is fast approaching. We will stay in a studio DVC pre-cruise. Available today is Riviera, Poly, BLT, AKV, BWV. We have never stayed at Riviera, and none of the others for a while now.
Is Riviera busy as a whole? This will be a no parks stay pre DCL cruise.
Poly has been rehabbed. Thoughts appreciated!!

Riviera studios are quite roomy and have two showers. Don’t know if you will have a car, but it’s easy to park and move your stuff...two elevator banks similar to BLT. Skyliner access to two parks. I’d say give it a try. The quick service there is excellent and Topolinos is also very good. Or a short walk to Caribbean Beach resort for food too.
Edited to add...oops just saw no parks, but you can take skyliner to take a stroll to BoardWalk.

I personally would do AKV—such a fun resort with good food, but we rarely stay there because transportation to parks is not the greatest—which is why it is perfect for a no parks single night!

Second choice is Poly because you have all the dining options of the monorail resorts and Trader Sam’s is a fun way to pass time sans parks, plus you can see the fireworks at night from the beach without a park ticket.

Don’t get me wrong—I love RIV — it is my home resort, and just stayed there in August. But I like it better for a park stay where I get to take skyliner to two parks.
