Riviera Club or Saratoga Springs? Help me decide!

We have the choice of a deluxe studio-preferred at Riviera Club for five nights or a one bedroom villa- preferred (more than likely newly renovated) for six nights at Saratoga Springs. I have to say that I’ve been going to Disney for 30 years, but this is my first time bringing a little one! She will be one year old when we travel. Since we are going for a week, monorail resorts are not in budget this time as the “discounted” rooms have already been scooped up. We will have a car as well. Which would you choose?

I'd go 6 nights in a 1 BR at SSR over 5 in a studio at Riviera. More space, living room, kitchen, laundry, king sized bed and an extra night win out for me and even moreso when you have a car.

Thank you! This is how I’m leaning for all the reasons you mentioned....especially the space, laundry and extra night!

If you want a washer and dryer in your room and a full sized fridge/freezer - go with Saratoga Springs and simply drive to Hollywood Studios or Epcot. But, if you'd like the convenience of the Skyliner, and the compactness (very easy to get around from one point to another quickly), Riviera is the way to go. From my visit, Riviera studios are still nice and spacious, but you can't beat the size of a one bedroom and being able to put a baby down for a nap in a different room and still be able to be doing other things like you could in Saratoga Springs. I absolutely love Riviera for its location and amenities, but with a baby - I'd probably say a one bedroom is the way to go.

Since you will have a car, I would vote for SSR. Having the extra space for the little one will be great. Also, having laundry facilities in your room might be extra beneficial with the little one.

Definitely SSR. I've found the layout of the rooms (outdoor entrances) to be far more quiet than interior hallways. At SSR, you are far less likely to have some late night guests wake up the baby.

Also, I love SSR. I know I'm rare, but it's my first choice. I think it's great for families and so peaceful and the grounds are lovely.

I’d choose riviera. With a little one, we tended to take a lot of resort breaks so they don’t get overtired and overheated. and it will be nice to have the gondolas to get to and from at least two of the parks. Also, for naptime or early bedtime in the room, you can take turns with one parent watching the little one and the other popping over to the bars, cafe or pool which are likely to be closer to the room at Riviera.
