I hope that kimmar067 is following this thread as I wanted to tell you your description of POR/POFQ as being "yukkee-poo" really made me chuckle. All kidding aside, why did you feel that way about them? We're new to the moderates so have been reading lots of recent posts. I made a ressie last week at CSR. I thought it looked cheerful and I know it's a newer resort. I feel like we made the right choice.

I definitely prefer FQ over Riverside. I like it because it's smaller, so you'll have shorter walks to get to the food courts, bus, etc. My boys love the pool slide... and the themeing is very nice. It's my favorite moderate resort.

...off topic, but I just saw yer siggie and noticed you are gonna be on the Travel Channel today....DRATS!!! I missed it....is it gonna be on AGAIN ???

Hello, my name is Kim and I'm a deluxaholic! (Okay,now, everyone say, "Hi, Kim!") My favorite of all the mods is CSR. I LOVE the theming and pool and we really enjoyed the food court there, although I didn't care to pay the 4% service fee, when it's really a well-themed BUFFET!!! However, since we've have been staying at deluxes, we really don't care to go back to a mod. Why? Well:

1) indoor halls
2) closer proximity to buses, food court, etc.
3) better location of bus depots at the parks
4) slightly larger rooms

That's not say that mods don't cut it, but my DH works very hard all year, and when he wants to go on vaca, he really wants to enjoy himself, and he always seem to do so when we stay at a deluxe...okay, letting the flaming commence....

Just to add my thoughts...we just returned from 6 nights at POFQ. We loved it! Also, if you plan to take the buses, 1 bus serves both resorts and picks up and drops off first at POFQ. My DD (9) thought the pool at POFQ was awesome...especially the slide!

I have to say POFQ!!! All though I've never stayed at Riverside. I'm going to be back to POFQ for my 2nd time on June 18-24! There is just something about it that I just love!
