Rivers Of Light Fast Pass???

Headed to WDW in December ....have never seen ROL.....do ya think a FP is needed? It'll be our first time to AK since the late hours and ROL. Seemed like you could view the show from anyplace around the lake....is it worth it to waste a FP on a seat? Already got FOP and River Journey FPs.TIA!!

I haven't seen it either. Had tickets on last trip but friend got sick so gifted passes. Trip before that it had been delayed. IMO, you should at least see it once. Good and bad reviews, but mostly doesn't live up to the hype from what PP have posted. I would think during the holidays a FP+ would be needed to ensure a seat, but maybe not at other times of the year. With that being said, I didn't want to "waste" a FP+ on ROL, and not have a chance for a 4th or possible 5th FP+ so I booked a ROL Dining Package.

I think there is only limited viewing if you are not in the theater.

Are there one or two shows on your date? I have heard the second show is easier to get into.

Have you looked into the dining package?

After checking the seating map, I'm wondering which area would have the better view of RoL as a whole - the Dining Package view on the left or the FP+ viewing on the right? At the moment I'm leaning towards doing the dining package.

I think the most centered view is the FP area. You don't need a FP to see the show but standby or FP I'd recommend getting there 30-45 min ahead of time

Is there a quick way to exit Animal Kingdom after watching Rivers of Light? I have fast passes for the 6:30 show but need to be at Bomas for an 8:00 dinner reservation.
