Len Testa, in the latest WDW Today podcast, said that he heard that the Imagineers have figured out the GPS signal issues with the barges and that would need another month of testing, but it masked another issue so...end of October.

Yes the rumor is end of October right now. That still is no guarantee though.

Hopefully I'll luck out and will be able to see ROL this trip. My last full day at WDW is 10/28 so I'm right on the cusp!

End of October has been the timeline for several weeks now. Len Testa most likely got that information from another Disney fan site.

Len also has Jim Hill and I'm sure he has other sources. He does run touring plans after all.

He has gotten things right though. I know he's not the best source but he is one. And like I said I'm sure Len has other people.

I can make guesses too...

...you probably Don't need to defend Jim hill when it's pointed out (correctly)...that he makes most things up.

That's why somebody (not me) always brings it up...experience=wisdom.

I've always thought Jim hill does this so he doesn't have to get a real job...like Adam the woo

Yeah but you don't believe any source so what does it matter.

Fingers crossed that it's right regardless of the source, since my AK day is 10/29! :dogdance:

Huh, look at that. People all freaked out and took Disney hours as gospel. The fool claimed Disney gave up on nighttime.

Nobody has any clue what's up...

The fool...Jim hill...or anybody on wdwmagic...

I think that if they can get it operational and remotely dependable this fall...they'll roll it out.

If it doesn't look like a go...they'll try again in the spring.

That's just a common sense, no brainer hunch though...not "I talked to somebody in imagineering who KNOWS"...who is probably the guy that delivers the toner cartridges from staples ;)

What is your source?

Actually, it's hard not to dismiss ANY rumor about this show now. "I hear it'll start in October" "I hear it'll start in November." It's all BS until they get all the problems out. As I said, extremely unlike they schedule anything until it is 100% ready to go, and even then I could picture them running soft opening trials for a few weeks. Once summer has passed, there's no real pressure to get it rolling until the Christmas season.
