Editor's Note 5/1: Posted 4/30: The big Rivers of America rehab is running behind schedule and the water won't be returning until next week now. It's not certain that visitors will be able to see all of the new show elements along the snazzy new river via canoe or Columbia by next weekend, and the Mark Twain is even further behind schedule. It will be worth the wait though, as the additions and changes are rather well done. - Al Lutz

That's too bad, we'll be there Sat. 5/08. But there's plenty too do, and we always miss something...

You know, I had the TV on the other day but was not paying attention to it. The local news came on with one of their teasers, saying, "See what was found in the waters near Tom Sawyer's Island." Of course, that snapped me to attention, but they were using that to promote the news later that night and not getting into the story right then. Anyway, I totally missed the segment on the late news, but I can only assume they meant that something interesting was 'found' once all the water was drained??:confused3

Has anyone heard anything about that?

You're awesome!! I searched and searched and could not find anything! And I was the one who heard the darn teaser and I couldn't even find it, and you probably just typed in one sentence and found it right away!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Anyway, thanks for looking that up, iKristin - it is interesting to see what kinds of stuff - both alive and inanimate - that they pull up, isn't it? I was thinking they would say they found loads of money or something, but money isn't even mentioned in that article. How did the computer tower get there? That's crazy. Cell phones and Mickey ears I can understand, but not computer towers!!

Every time they drain the Rivers of America, the reports of what is found is so fascinating. It never fails to amaze me that there are 100s of people who lose their cell phones in the RoA. Seriously, people? That's your phone! Hold on to it! :confused3

How about the oysters! Who would of thought those would be able to thrive there? Maybe they can work some oysters rockefeller into the menu at Cafe Orleans...:cloud9:

Looks like the Mark Twain is the only thing really held up. This is from Dateline Disneyland today. Almost everything is opening onthe 7th according to miceage :confused3

We are going on Sun. May 16th and Mon. May 17th.
Will there be a river then?
Thanks! We'll be celebrating my son's Golden Birthday! :goodvibes

You should almost certainly be fine. It's scheduled to come up May 8th so it could run a full week behind schedule and you'd be OK.

Have a great trip!
