Risking DS for Chef Arts, yes or no?

Chef Arts was my daughters pick for where she wants to eat. She is really excited and already saddened that we may cancel our reservations. I cancelled Raglan due to SO MANY mixed reviews on safety. And due to the atmosphere of the place it does seem a bit more worrisome than most, so I just scratched it off. However from the photos it looks like Chef Arts might be better spaced out and less chaotic. We booked during the week as well hoping it would help. Has anyone been lately? Did it feel fairly safe or was it packed and chaotic?

I have not dined at Chef Art's, due to their menu looking unhealthy to me. However, they do have outdoor dining, so since you are concerned, you might be most comfortable in their outdoor section.

Agree with others that if you are concerned with Covid-safety, best course is to eat outdoors. That's true at Homecomin or anywhere else, but since Homecomin has a nice patio, all the more reason to use it.

If the question is on Disney Springs generally and Covid safety, I think it really depends on when you go. Going on a weeknight instead of a weekend will definitely help you avoid the worst of the crowds. Mask compliance was poor both times we went to DS last year (August and October), but being outdoors again really helps with the risk.

Homecomin is spaced out indoors and offers outdoor seating as well. Just request outdoors when you check in and you should be accommodated.

We have eaten on the patio probably 5-6 times in the last few months and have felt extremely comfortable. I've not been inside, though, but have heard they are spacing well.

We won’t be going back to Disney springs anytime soon. We went in July for dinner and parking was horrible as well as the crowd level. There are so many great resorts to explore with great dining options that I have 0 desire to go to DS. The food is great just not worth the hassle with traffic, parking and crowds.

I must admit I don't worry about eating healthy when we are at WDW. Lots of walking burns off some of those unhealthy foods.

My daughter wants it. We all picked out a place and she is losing her mind over it. We are going for her grad so I feel bad although we warned her DS isn't the safest place to be. I "thought" maybe a weekday in the first week of March DS wouldn't be as bad as it could be. But ya I hear you, I cancelled Raglan already due to it, figured we should stay out of DS as much as possible.

I glad to hear about a patio, and ya we booked for a weekday the first week of March. I am hoping DS isn't horrible during that time.

We were pleased to find the resort bus drop off at DS was quite close to Homecomin' - helped keep our "walking around" crowd contact to a minimum and we felt the tables were well spaced at the restaurant itself. And it was really, really good.

Go earlier in the day mid-week. DS is much less busy. We were there on a Thursday around noon and it was practically deserted.

Homecoming is our family's FAVORITE in Disney Springs. The only 2 we haven't tried yet are Polite Pig and Chef José's. We LOVED the food, the comfortable plush chairs were a huge plus, I hate wood chairs. The wait staff were so incredibly kind. I can't possibly say enough good about it.

We were there the first week of December and had an earlier weekday reservation. There was no issue with social distancing at DS while we were there. We left before 8, so it may have gotten crowded later. We were very comfortable in Homecomin and loved our meals.

We dined indoors a few months ago during a weekday and at ~11:15 AM. We were spaced out with zero issues.
