I have never been more disapointed in a ride.

There is almost zero thrill factor except that one tiny drop. The ride vehicle is really dull. Remys was even more fun and thats pretty disapointing as well. At times it feels like you are on a slow moving tea cups ride.

The sets are big but mostly static. Very little movement. They arent game changing. Feel like some screens as background could of brought some life to it.

Nothing on old star wars. Kylo ren just isnt interesting. Why oh why is there no original characters.

They dont even do star wars music in the background to get you in the vibe.

Ive done it twice now. Zero interest in ever doing it again. It was just a boring ride.

Why does this get so much praise? I cant be the only one confused by this?

The guardians of the galaxy roller coaster ride should of been the e ticket stars wars ride. How amazing would of that been.

“The food at this place is terrible.”
“Yes. And such small portions!”

Sorry you didn't like it. I rather enjoy it for what it is IF (and big if) I only have to wait well under an hour for it. We have mastered the art of timing for it at DLR in California and have had really good luck with sub 45 min waits. We enjoy it if we can sneak in quick and get it done. I am glad I don't have to do any of the rides at Galaxy's Edge at WDW if they don't have a short wait as we are at DLR so often.

Now if I had paid 20+ bucks a person to ride it, yea I'd be a bit disappointed. RSR is a far better "anchor" ride at DCA. Not worth 20 bucks a person, but if you forced me to pay 20 bucks for LL at the business end of a churro for one or the other, RSR is a way better ride overall.... :)

I love Rise. But I guess it depends on your expectation. If you want a thrill ride, then its not for you. Doesn't make it a bad ride or overrated. It just makes it not what you're looking for.

This past weekend, my five year old was finally big enough for all the Star Wars rides at HS. He loved Star Tours, loved Smugglers Run., but was kind of meh on Rise. Nothing wrong with that. It just wasn't what he wanted.

I'm kind of in between the 2 extremes here - not 'most disappointing ride ever' and not 'must do every trip'! We've done Rise a few times over the years, hoping we find it more interesting than we did our initial experience - but it's really kind of a meh attraction for us. And for those who absolutely love it - we're just one group that won't take up a space in line in front of you! Enjoy. For us, there are sections that are really cool - but too many sections that are too slow and drawn out for us.

I think it’s a great immersive experience… if it’s working properly. Many times it’s not and I feel so bad for the people who are riding it for the first time when it’s like that.

The first time we rode it we were blown away by it. It was a lot of fun for us seeing the lightsaber cut through etc.

Now when we go we want to experience it at least once in our trip. But we won’t wait an hour to ride it. We might wait 30 minutes depending on where we are for the day. For us it’s not worth waiting very long for it since we have done it before.

I feel the same way about the new Mickey and Minnie ride. Fun concept but we are just rolling from room to room. Although very well done and fun.

We are not big Star Wars fans here, don't know most of the characters or story line but I thought it was pretty cool. My 6yr old actually said it was a little too scary for her haha.
To each their own of course - if you ask me which ride is the most overrated, no hesitation there, it's Tron. Very long wait for a ride that's maybe a minute and very underwhelming.

I remember the first time we rode it. It was closer to when it first opened and the cast members were great. The way they ushered everybody off and they were so serious and you weren’t allowed to talk and they were very intimidating. It was so much fun.

Now people stop to take selfies with the storm troopers. Or they tried joking around with the cast members. And sometimes they don’t even listen to them on where to stand and what to do. Not that we care so much now, but I feel bad for those experiencing it for the first time.

One of the last times we rode it the first shuttle or whatever you call it wasn’t working so they sent everybody down the back employee hallway to the storm troopers. That really killed the Star Wars vibe lol

I’m sorry to hear from those who don’t enjoy it. For me, as someone who has never seen a Star Wars movie, I think it is the ultimate theme park attraction.

The immersion, story, audio, visual detail, and excitement all hit me in ways that no other ride ever has.

That said, I get it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and can understand the opposing views. I get weird looks when I tell people how much I dislike Soarin so I get it.

Coming from someone that doesn't even care about Star Wars I think its one of the most immersive attractions Disney has.

If you hated it so much why would you go on twice?

One less person in line for it.
Plus now you don't have to use up park time on it.
Something tells me you will anyways because you secretly like it and just want to go against the grain on here for the drama.
