I have the DAS approved and have booked my 2 rides per day. However Rise is not available for advanced booking with DAS. How can I get a time for us to ride?

It’s really easy to request a day of return time in the app. You just have to wait until you are in the park. Once you request it, you won’t be able to request another return time until you have checked in for the ride.

I'm confused! Do I have to wait until I've used my first 2 Advance booked attractions before I can book one in MDE? My second Advance booked attraction isn't until 5pm, so it seems a waste to wait that long if I can just cancel and get one earlier in the day via MDE and standby wait times.

no think of the two precooked ones as the old FP you did not have house them before you could use a DAS

The DAS Advance Selections you get in connection with doing video DAS registration are totally separate from DAS Return Times you get in the park.

The DAS Advance Selections don’t need to be used before you can make or use DAS Return Times. You would be able to book your first DAS Return Time as soon as the person registered for DAS has entered the park.
(DAS Return Times can be booked using the My Disney Experience app, by getting one from the CM at the attraction or from the blue Guest Experience umbrellas)

If you don’t want to wait until 5pm for your DAS Advance Selection time to open, you could get a DAS Return Time for the attraction when you are in the park.
But, the Standby wait times for that attraction can be very long. Since you can only have one active DAS Return Time, waiting for it could tie up the DAS for a long time.

No. The 2 pre-booked are separate. You have to wait until you’re in the park, then you can book your 1st day of ride. Once you check in for that ride, you can book the next ride, and so on, but the 2 Advance choices don’t affect any other selections. They are basically a bonus for using the video chat.

I thought that certain LL rides were not able to be booked thru DAS- are all rides available in DAS for the day of return times?

Any attraction with a Standby Wait can be booked for DAS Return Times day of visit. You will be able to get one, but the wait will probably be very long.

For a while, ROR and Remy had Virtual Queues/Boarding Groups - when that was the case, ALL guests had to get a Virtual Queue spot; when returning DAS users entered thru the Lightning Lane with guests who purchased Individual Lightning Lane. Other guests used a return entrance that often had a 30-40 min. wait.
Virtual Queues have not been in effect for those attractions for a while.

So if you have DAS how would you handle RotR?. Do you try to get it the second you walk in the park and then RD ToT and RRC or do you rope drop RotR like everyone else?

That's up to you and what you want to do, as well as what the DAS holder is capable of. Both are options. You are also still eligible to buy the individual lightning lane if you choose

No. The 2 pre-booked are separate.
This is true. But be aware, if one of those 2 pre-selected times ends up w the attraction not being available during your allotted time, it will turn into a regular selection you can use any time for the rest of the day. So it will conflict w one you might already have and you’ll have to wait until you use the non-preselected to use your voucher from the attraction that went down. It’s so frustrating.
