Good advice to get up early, but maybe take a look at this 900+ page thread that is chock full of tips on how to get a BG.

As many have shared in that thread, you no longer need to "select" your party. In fact, taking time to do that will probably mean you don't get a BG.

Everyone with a park pass for that day will be pre-selected, so don't take time to read the names or anything. Just click "Join, join, join" as fast as possible.

For our try yesterday I had loaded the atomic clock app. Found out how much slower than that my phone was, and with looking at the atomic app then going right to disney, we did get group 83. I think being able to look and sync was helpful.

Yes, you can join from anywhere in the world. Multiple people have joined before boarding a plane that got them to Orlando in time to ride.

For 7am you can join from anywhere as long as you have a park pass for that day. For 1pm BG you must enter DHS before 1pm in order to be eligible.
