Rise Of The Resistance for a 4 and 6 year old

Appreciate everyone advice and just wanted to say thank you. We ended up just watching the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special as a way to introduce them to the world and they enjoyed it. Then I had them watch some scenes of Force Awakens like the intro to Rey’s character and when her and Finn first meet.

My wife believes they will be fine for the ride. (She always did, it was the idea of watching Force Awakens that worrried her.)

The OTHER Star Wars rides at DL kind of slipped my mind. We will Definitely have them go on those too.

Thank you all again.
I agree with your wife. I took a 3 year old on it. on two different trips. He loved it. Him and his brother (5, 4 the first time) loved all of the SW rides, but actually loved Star Tours the most. The interactivity of MFSR was a bit lost on them, but they definitely believed we were on a ship, which was fun.

I took my 8 year old granddaughter to WDW this summer and she has some anxiety issues, and gets nervous in "scary parts" in movies. Since we enjoy going to kids theater, we talked about the ride being like in a play, that the cast members were pretending, and we were going to have fun and play along.
That worked and she enjoyed it. It is a great immersive experience.

I was going to suggest the Lego Star Wars and other Disney+ content-Biomes and the vehicle fly through shorts. That’s the extent of my 5 year old’s interest in SW. I agree the movies can be a little much for younger kids. And mine was just bored when we tried the originals.

Have a great trip!

Another show you could watch with them to get them familiar with ships/blasters/AT walkers and the overall Star Wars universe is The Clone Wars cartoon. A little more approachable for their ages and short episodes.

There area a lot of cute cartoons on youtube too that are a good introduction to the characters. (All made by Disney)

My coworker just took her kids on it. Her daughter is 6 and was terrified. It made her apprehensive about going on other rides after that. My coworker said that in hindsight, they either would have not had her ride it or prepped her more (explained that it's all pretend, etc.).
