If you're available at the 7am drop, might be worth trying at that time, then go straight to the ride on your arrival and see if you can get on.

Not sure how strict DL is on the return time, but I know some at WDW have been successful at doing this.

I'll be flying, but my husband could give it a shot!

Quick question - we got boarding passes, but our friends didn’t. We’ve done it twice already this trip, so would like to gift them our boarding passes. If I screen shot it when they get called and send to them, will they have any problem using them?

Have them add your tickets to their app.

So bummed. My sister and her family didn't get it today on their first attempt. They had three of them going and hit right at 59:59 so not sure what happened. I'm going to help them out from home at noon. Cross fingers.

I do not recommend trying to get it before it is exactly 7am or 12pm on your phone.

From my experience so far you need to refresh right at 7 or 12 or the join button won’t be there yet. Yeah, it sucks.

Is this a recent change? We were there from June 1-4 and we were successful every day, including for WS opening day by using this method (I've been successful one a dozen times with that method).

Edited to add: she also said they had to wait over an hour to get into the parks, which is longer than the wait we had at the same time for the opening of Avenger's campus! I wonder if they increased capacity again.

No, they haven’t been opening security as early as they were a week ago.
This past Saturday the flyover bridge for the structure didn’t open till just before 8 AM, the week prior it was already open at 7:40 AM.

I have always waited until my phone clock said exactly 7am and 12pm. If the app thinks it is early the button will not appear, which can take even more time for you to have to refresh plus you probably have more guests doing the same thing.

I am doing the same thing. We are flying down (First Class for the first time in my life! ) and I am going to make sure our plane has an early arrival time. No later than 10:00am. That will give me two hours to disembark, get our luggage, get our rental car (bypass the counter), and drive directly to DHS while my wife or son online checks us into the Disney resort. As long as my butt is through the gate before 12pm I am good. LOL

Only if you're the only one who wants to ride. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe that EVERYONE in your party has to have scanned into the park.

Thank you all for sharing such great information. We recently went a perfect six for six in three days and I'm sharing our experience in the hope that it will help others.

My family of four visited the parks last week with Park Hoppers on Thursday (DL), Friday (CA), and Saturday (DL). We got Boarding Passes as follows:

Th. @ 7 AM: RotR # 11
Th. @ 12 PM: WebSlingers # 124
Fri. @ 7 AM: WebSlingers # 2
Fri. @ 12 PM: RotR # 92
Sat. @ 7 AM: RotR # 17
Sat. @ 12 PM: WebSlingers # 127

We used cell service at the hotel and parks. We had one phone showing the time (time.gov), and had three other phones trying for Boarding Passes. Exactly at 7:00:00 or 12:00:00 we hit the "Join Boarding Group" button on the main page of the app when going for RotR. And exactly at 7:00:00 or 12:00:00 we scrolled down on the CA page when going for WS.

No. They all need to have scanned in as well.

I’m pretty sure it would say not everyone is in the park and it would take too long to remove them from the group. It might automatically select those who have scanned in but I would just delete their ticket to be safe

okay, thanks for the head's up. I was worried about that. I'm on the app right now, and it looks like the "joint boarding group" isn't on the home page anymore. I wonder if that was her problem.

If it’s not on the home page tap on the 3 lines on the bottom right and click virtual queues. My sister’s iPod touch doesn’t have the join boarding group option on her home page because it’s an older version of the app (it’s an older version of the iPod so she can’t get the current one)
