Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

Line with a planter? Can someone explain this? First I've seen this...
There are some turnstiles, which, if you draw a straight line out from the park, intersect some planters which have trees in them. Because the line can't go through the planter, and going around the planter would essentially put you in another line, the lines adjacent to the "planter" lines wind up splitting after the planter to make use of the turnstile behind it.

8:40 and backups are still available, which isn't odd for a Friday. We also haven't started boarding yet. I was really hoping to see them jump on the boarding early today...

DHS hit 50 groups in their first 3 hours, but is currently down.

Possibly a stupid question, but how are people playing along at home and getting a boarding group? Is this for people that have annual passes or am I missing something?

I wont get my tickets until I check into GCH after I arrive. Can't wait for our trip to begin next Friday :)

Thanks for any help and sorry if this a redundant question.

They aren’t getting a boarding group. They play along up to the tickets part. This is just to see how the process works.

10AM and we haven't started boarding...not a terribly good sign.

DHS is down for the third time today as well. Maybe some new software went in last night? Hmm...

We got Boarding Group 4 this morning from inside Plaza Inn! 2 of us trying for a party of 3.

Closed everything, turned off Blue tooth and Wifi. Put in Do Not Disturb mode. Opened the app at 0859:30 then hit find out more and join boarding group. Went on the ride immediately and it was awesome! Such a cool experience, we were overwhelmed. My 3.5 year old did great.

We arrived to the parking structure at 0730. Mickey was backed up on the ramp but we sailed into Pixar and parked right by elevators. No lines at bag check or trams. We did the character breakfast line but people said they arrived around 725 and got in the park no problem.

Backup groups still being distributed.

We loved the ride but won’t do it for a while.
I thought you couldn't get a boarding pass unless your park ticket was scanned at the gate showing you are in the park for that day?

Open and almost in. Doesn't seem crowded and knew from you all to pick a line with a planter that would split 😁

We picked a line that split at a planter on our first day and my husband was so impressed that it's a thing, lol, and that our line moved so quickly.

Back up now. Boarding 11-25.

I got 147 at around 10 which was surprising. Will see how it goes.
I have another report of 152 given out at 10:18, so about 5 groups in ~20 minutes. Here we are at 10:46 and groups are still available. If they stop at 161 and the rate holds, we'd expect them to run out at around 11:00ish. But it is probably moot since the late start doesn't bode well for higher group numbers. On days when we've started at 10:30 or later our best performance has been 102 groups.
