Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

Thanks for thr advice, but UGH that seems like a pain and potential for problems!

Has anyone had decent success NOT bothering with unlinking 1 or 2 family members, and simply unchecking them when it comes time to request a boarding group?

I know it will add precious seconds to the task, but i don't feel all that comfortable messing with my app-bought hoppers if it's not super straightforward... :(
Yes! I mentioned in the first thread this is what I did. For one day I had my husband and myself trying and the next day I had my daughter back at home trying as well. Both of them only had the 2 of us in the park on their apps so they didn't need to worry about it but both times I was the one that got the boarding group. I had 7 people plus 4 After Dark tickets so I hit deselect all and then added in the 2 of us to our BG. It was a little confusing with the after dark tickets since it's the same name so at first I picked the wrong ones. I also was not going terribly fast because I just assumed someone else would get it first. I got 47 (1st BG was 12) the first day and 32 (1st BG was 10) the second.

My wife beat me when I had to unselect and got us bg15. But I was a second or two behind. Not the end of the world. The key is knowing where the pass you want to deselect is going to be.

Glad to hear those with low boarding group #'s finally got to ride. What a rough day. Last Saturday I was something like #26, and I was off the ride by 9:15 AM. Every day is it's own adventure.
We were off by 4:40. Hopefully tomorrow we can have the 9:15 experience!

It took me awhile to realize they were sorted alphabetically by first name.

The line that is built up outside is usually for the scanning of the BG barcodes.
Once inside the cave portion the line tends to move very fast. I would say 30 minutes on average.

This is GREAT to hear because i really want to keep things simple - one account, 3 app tickets! Sounds like others have had success just deselecting, too, and it hasn't inhibited their ability to get a decent BG.

I think if you practice at home and know where to look, it's easy. I've seen some people do it on YouTube, too!

Thanks for confirming!

Well, worst day in a while, but not a total loss. It seems that for the most part once they got up they pretty much stayed up (thrill data shows a couple of 20 minute lulls in calling, but that may have been queue thinning based on reports here and elsewhere that the queue went beyond the normal confines today), though the processing rate was relatively conservative, suggesting that while they were up, they were not running at optimal capacity.

They did stop calling a little earlier than I figured they would, but they might be trying to hedge their bets for the time change tomorrow since they are losing an hour tonight.

Since tomorrow will "feel" earlier, I am very interested to see how the backups go tomorrow.

Our friends at DHS had essentially a breakdown-free day, but also closed a little early presumably to hedge against the short night.

Yes, it sounds like it was a frustrating day, but I'm glad we had some great scouts on the ground who got to ride and report back. Hoping that today will be a much better day!
And, all Resistance fighters, don't forget to check your clocks this morning! (One hour forward!) :)

Day 2 for hydro family. Yesterday we for BG 26 but did not get on the ride until 4:10pm. See previous posts for more on that.

Today so far..

6:58 left room at bwppi - a non EMH day
7:00 arrived security harbor side - no bag line with no one in line. Other lines had 12-15 people. Not bad.
7:02 in line at gate 17 center with planter split - lines are just past monorail

more to come...
