Since I do not have an Android, but will be traveling with some Android users tomorrow, can you spell out what this means? Here is what it sounds like to me, so please correct me:
- You are checking the impact on an Android phone of clicking the Find Out More (FOM) button before official park opening (OPO)?
- Androids are behing differently now than before?
- But it still messes up the app behavior, prevents you from getting a BG, and you have to restart the app, like before?
- It is still not recommended to click FOM before OPO??
First point, yes - I am checking to see if things have changed regarding clicking FOM before OPO, as well as to see if the status refresh and/or MS/FOM cha cha has changed in effectiveness for Android.
Second point - it appears that they might be.
Previous behavior was that, for me, If I tapped into FOM and MS before OPO, I was locked out from both buttons until restart. If I tapped into FOM but not MS before OPO, and then tapped MS after OPO, I would
usually get an active button in MS, but not when backing out to FOM.
New behavior observed today (and this is a single data point that I put no stock in) is that being in MS before OPO did prevent MS button from activating, and refresh was ineffective as before. However, backing out to FOM screen resulted in an active button, suggesting that a cha cha might be possible.
Third point - agreed that this is not an optimal approach.
Fourth point - That's my story and I'm sticking to it. My approach would be to tap on FOM at OPO. If button is active, use. If button not active, perhaps I tapped a fraction of a second too soon, so I will tap MS. If the button is active, use. If button not active, previously I would have closed the app right then and there, but based on the new data, I would spend the extra tap to go back to FOM to see if button has activated. If active, use, if not, exit app and start over.
