Baobab Tree for @buzzrelly
This was probably the longest ride because...we got stuck in the annoying DNA matching/decontamination room TWICE and had to sit through the "and...umm...fly" guy two times!!![]()
We asked politely if we could wait it out in the next room but we were told if we want to ride we had to endure...and so we did.
So we headed to...Peter Pan. I think you'd be lying if you said you don't miss being pixie dusted.
![]()
Dust me all over! I need Pixie Dust right now!
It was a wonderful, LONG, and packed day. We made a decision to do all 4 parks and we stuck to it despite our tiredness! And we threw in a trip to Disney Springs! LOL.
Same here. I got really busy with work and kinda took a month or two hiatus from the dis, so I had missed a lot. Good to be missed....err tagged.Hi, Su-Lynn! I'm glad you tagged me because I didn't realize I wasn't here already!![]()
We then made our way to Flight of Passage - the FP line was super long, I think we waited the longest ever and I've never seen the FP line reach past this point at a standstill.
And then we were done! So tired. But now I was hungry. I only wanted sushi, and I only wanted GOOD sushi so we headed to Disney Springs! I was hoping we could grab a seat at the bar area for Morimoto Asia since there were no ADRs left.
It was a fun little quick get together! Fingers crossed for all our future trips! We were all so happy you popped in!!!
That sushi looked AMAZING!!! I pray we can eat there in September!!!!
Thanks!Cute shot on Soarin'![]()
And you just discovered this? You guys are nuts!![]()
Haha nope
Kelly will never live this down.
It's possible!Holy cow! I wonder if it had gone down for a time?
I'm not sure what is worse but it feels less claustrophobic in IASWUgh! Almost as bad as one time on IASW.
It's usually been pretty good!Ah! I was wondering where you'd go for good sushi.
I think I've seen it enough times to be ok with slightly missing it. Also, hungry.I honestly don't think I could do that.
Yup!Nice! A quick mini epic meet!
IT was actually still pretty good.It certainly looks good. Too bad it was only okay.
Oh wow, you've never done it! I honestly only achieved it in 2017 I think for the first time. This is one of my goals for next year. I've never done that challenge but it's on my list.
Yup, so crowdedUGH!!! That's nuts!
HAha funny once, second time you're like LET ME OUTI just laugh my head off at that guy. It's SO annoying, it's actually funny.
Oh it was PACKED!A beautiful sight? LOL! It looks like a very crowded sight.![]()
It is! I'm glad it's an option! The bar seating is always a greata option for impromptu dining!
Yup, maybe exotic to some but nowadays I think everyone has had sushi or been exposed to it so it certainly ain't exotic!Yeah.... I was gonna say... not much there looks "exotic". But it does look good.![]()
Welll…. perhaps just an observation on the nut-ball odyssey. And you just discovered this?
Claustrophobia is the least of my worries on IASW.I'm not sure what is worse but it feels less claustrophobic in IASW
Guess that would do it.I think I've seen it enough times to be ok with slightly missing it. Also, hungry.
I agree! Bar soap always feels like it isn't clean *enough.* Shower gel and liquid handsoap are the only way.Day 0 - Travel Day and First DISmeet of the trip!
We left on a Friday night after work. This has been our usual routine now when we go for short weekend trips: leave from work and drive straight to the airport, park in long term parking, shuttle to terminal, go through pre-check and then to our gate or a restaurant if we're early. We usually do carry-on only since we have our Owners Locker, but for this trip since the weather was to be really erratic I brought more layers and jackets, I did pack one check-in bag so we had to drop that off first. I also brought some more toiletries to stock our owners locker, LOL.
I think our flight was on time and we arrived at MCO, picked up our luggage and hopped on Magical Express with no lines. It seemed like there wasn't that many people here, so we thought it was a good sign (warning, it was NOT).
![]()
We arrived at Caribbean Beach Resort - we had never stayed there before so were quite excited for the new experience. The lobby smells amazing though! We were hungry so thought we should grab a bite to eat so went to the quick service and placed a mobile order. I was texting with @Mollydolly334 since she already in WDW and was wandering around the Riviera resort next to CBR, although she wasn't staying there just yet. We were waiting for our food when I see the sweetest face running towards me.! It's Molly!! We hugged and squealed because we hadn't seen each other since the Epic trip last year. Even though she is much younger than old me we get along super well; I like to say that I adopted her, my own Chunkybaby! LOL
Less than 30 minutes here and already our first DISmeet!!
![]()
Our food took a while and it felt like we were waiting for a long time but finally Steve went to see what was going on and it turns out they were making a fresh batch of food hence the wait. It was nice though as it gave us plenty of time for us to catch up with Molly. They ended up giving us a double order of our entree for the price of one, how nice, a little bit of pixie dust to start our trip!
![]()
We ordered the: Braised Beef Stew - Cuban-style Ropa Vieja served over Rice and Beans with Green Beans and the Spinach and Kale Salad -
Spinach, Kale, Tomato, Avocado and Pickled Onions tossed in an Herb Vinaigrette Dressing. Everything was great but we only needed one entree since we shared everything and it was also late and didn't want to overeat. So we packed up the extra entree in case we had the nibbles later.
Since I was texted our room number, we headed straight there, and we brought Molly along to check out our room! Our room was Number 4244 in the Jamaica section which was the closest building to the new Skyliner. We couldn't wait to check it out. We used the resort maps to figure out where we were going since we didn't know!
![]()
The resort is really big though, as I have heard and it is the truth. After what seemed like 15 minutes we ended up in our room Building 4 on the 2nd floor:
![]()
![]()
I'm glad we got a king bed! It actually makes the room seem, well, roomier! It was a standard moderate room, although I thought it was a bit plain and it needed a little spiffing up since you can tell the carpet was a little murky, the corners are dinged, etc. I actually liked our room at All Star Movies better, but hey, it's just a place to sleep and the room was very spacious. As you can see, the first thing I turned on was the Disney blue screen. The soothing music just sets the tone for me
And yes they brought back the sea salt lotion to the rooms. Thank goodness for the uproar from DISboarders LOL. #unitedwestand
![]()
We had fun checking out the room with Molly and then we parted ways and said good night - she was going to walk to the skyliner but unfortunately it wasn't running at that time so I think she took the bus back to her resort.
We also had our owners locker delivered - yay! Finally I could get cleaned and changed and get some sleep because we had an early early day tomorrow - we were going to try our hand at Rise of the Resistance!!!
Oh and if you are wondering what is my favorite thing I keep in my Owners locker - it is liquid hand soap. I don't like bar hand soaps - it's just inconvenient and I feel like I can never get the soap off too so I thought this was the best thing ever, LOL.

Next up...our EARLY EARLY morning at Hollywood Studios!
Please, you're incapable of taking a bad picture. I hope my skin looks like that when I'm 43!I woke up and my face was all puffy and bloated due to travelling and the lack of sleep.
At this point, were tired but we had already made up our mind to do 4 Parks in 1 Day and I was determined to finish it!
This was probably the longest ride because...we got stuck in the annoying DNA matching/decontamination room TWICE
And then we were done! So tired. But now I was hungry. I only wanted sushi, and I only wanted GOOD sushi so we headed to Disney Springs! I was hoping we could grab a seat at the bar area for Morimoto Asia since there were no ADRs left.
When we arrived at DS we realized that a bunch of people were over at Jock Lindseys: Ariane and Steve, Jenny and Joe, Melinda, Molly. It was a short meet up and we went to say hi and we had one drink, sorry we didn't take any pictures, I was so tired!
We did make our way eventually over to Morimoto Asia around 10pm. They had a table at the bar, yay, so we ordered drinks and shared a large sushi platter.
It was good and hit the spot but it was touted as a platter with rare and exotic fishes but I don't think there was anything rare or exotic about the sushi on this platter, LOL.
I know! I just want to be at one park, LOL! But it was a fun day despite it being terribly LONG!Andi and I use to do 4 parks in a day about every other trip, we haven’t done it in awhile now, I think we need to do it again when we finally can!!
Well, then he's just setting a trend! How funny! I met @docsoliday1 on my 4 parks in 1 day back in August!![]()
![]()
Agreed. I think we all really need some!
I had to be so EXTRA.I am SO impressed! I've done 4 parks in 1 day a few times over the years, but never have I ALSO thrown in DS!![]()
LOL Well I see you're setting another trend again! What she's not telling you is once she met me, she quickly decided rather than stay at AK, she needed to park hop to get away from me.
Come to think of it, I believe that's what you and Steve did @chunkymonkey
Hmmm...seems to be a pattern, but I'm not quite catching it.
LOL I remember you told me! I can't imagine sitting through it 3 times in a row, they should just let you stay on your banshee for 3 rides, haha.UGH!!!!! That happened to us in December, only we had to go through THREE times because our second time through, they sent us into a room with one too many people to ride. UMMM, Fly is annoying once. Three times was horrendous!!!
It does!
It was fun but very tiring to park hop AND do rides and stuff but since we started early it was good. It was a challenge and I'm glad we did it but not sure we would do it again any time soon, maybe not when we have to get an early BG for rise!Your day sounded great but made me tired reading about it! I think 4 parks in a day would be a fun goal. If our rescheduled trip in Sept works out, I may try to talk my DH into it![]()
Hi Kelly!! Glad you are here!! I was in the same boat, feeling kind of in denial and not wanting to see anything Disney-related because it would just make me sadder, but it's actually been quite therapeutic to write about these trips!Hi, Su-Lynn! I'm glad you tagged me because I didn't realize I wasn't here already!
I've been a little out of sorts lately, especially with DisBoards, but reading about these fun times makes me happy![]()
It was a crazy day but you're right, I'm so happy we had a day where we just went crazy, got a boarding group, did all 4 parks and went to Disney springs! What a fun memory and I'm sure you're so happy you did all that now!
YEah seriously! It was pretty darn crowded. That is a ridiculous FP line...can't imagine what the SB line would be. Ugh.
It was a ton of fun, and we were just happy to be out and about at Disney!Wow, 4 parks AND DS!! Very impressive, and even a stop for a drink with more DIS'ers. What a day! I'm tired just reading about it!! But so much fun I'm sure!
OK.Welll…. perhaps just an observation on the nut-ball odyssey.

Haha, not a fan of the slightly repetitive song?Claustrophobia is the least of my worries on IASW.
Exactly!I agree! Bar soap always feels like it isn't clean *enough.* Shower gel and liquid handsoap are the only way.
Aw you are sweet, thank you! But I only post the good onesPlease, you're incapable of taking a bad picture. I hope my skin looks like that when I'm 43!
Haha you and me both, I think I've quoted and responded to other people on the wrong TR. It happens if I don't respond right away. I know I brought it all upon myself since I have 3 TRs going...and am about to start a March one!I'm so confused with how many TRs you have going...but I think this is the day you met up with Chunkydust, rode RotR and then went to brunch....since this is January and you said you were there the first weekend of Brunch.![]()
I know, we can be.You guys are nuts!
Oh dear, not a good way to start, but at least it was still new to you at that point.I had that happen on my very first ride.![]()
I think we were just pumped up from having gone on so many good rides that morning! We thought we could go on all day. Also we had 16 FPs to use. EACH!I would have been done after brunch!![]()
It was closer to a thread the later it got. but luckily that thread held up pretty well.Yikes! I don't know how you hang in there!
I'm usually ok with the chefs selection if I have Steve that can eat whatever I don't like as he eats anything!Yay for a table! I can never order the "chef's selection", cuz I'm picky.![]()
True, that's what I thought. But I thought there would at least be some Ikura and Uni on the plate. Or maybe this was an abbreviated chef's version. In any case I think we paid too much for this considering it wasn't that exotic and I will probably end up getting a la carte sushi next time we go.Maybe for someone who doesn't eat sushi regularly. That looks like a Tempura Shrimp roll, which is pretty common. I would think a spider is more exotic than that. Also more expensive! My dad likes Uni and Spanish Mackerel in addition to Unagi and Anago, plus Hamachi and other common fish, so its all relative when you say "rare and exotic".
NO!Haha, not a fan of the slightly repetitive song?
Oh no, going through that thing once is definitely enough for me! I didn't know it was possible to listen to it twice lol. This was probably the longest ride because...we got stuck in the annoying DNA matching/decontamination room TWICE and had to sit through the "and...umm...fly" guy two times!!![]()
What a beautiful sight at night!
![]()
YUM!!
Ooh I can't wait to read about this! I feel like I viewed pictures of the food and characters a while back when Topolino's first opened, but I don't exactly remember, so I'm looking forward to hearing all about it!Coming up...Breakfast on the French Riviera with characters at Topolino!
NO WAY!What she's not telling you is once she met me, she quickly decided rather than stay at AK, she needed to park hop to get away from me.
![]()
Come to think of it, I believe that's what you and Steve did @chunkymonkey
Hmmm...seems to be a pattern, but I'm not quite catching it.
I had to be so EXTRA.![]()
O. M. G. That was a thing of beauty for sure.Anyways back to the bread basket....here it is! It was so yummy
You got that rightYes it's a great big beautiful tomorrow...but not during quarantine.
Yay!Since we had ridden it twice already, we were ok not doing it again, and since I really wanted to try this breakfast I booked it!
That's very nice of you.We asked Molly if she'd like to join us and she said sure!
Knew that!I love trying new Disney restaurants, especially character meals!
What's on the ceiling? Are those some kind of lights??
Yum!POG (Passion Orange Guava)
Um... French Riviera? Isn't is supposed to be Italian?which isn't exactly an ubiquitous drink in the French Riviera
Wow that looks good!
my sister would take one look at that jam, portion shake her head, and promptly order 4 more servings. "I need more jam" is probably one of her favorite things to say. LOL
Dude could've changed first. Sheesh!Pretty soon we got our first visitor:
![]()
Awww...Our 2nd visitor was Daisy. She was so cute in her ballerina/dance troupe outfit,
She was trying to teach us to do ballet but to me it looked like I'm holding my food-laden belly.
Good advice. And makes sense. We loved Topolino's brunch and thought it was well worth it. It's just a pain to get to in the early morning if you're not staying on a skyliner resort or at CBR where you can just walk, and will probably have to rely on an Uber/Lyft
Okay... how did you spot it????On the way we spotted the coveted castle zoom shot so we stopped to do it.
Yes it's a great big beautiful tomorrow...but not during quarantine.![]()
OMG. It's a nope at the best time!I kid you not when I saw that IaSW had like a 45 minute wait,
Where was all these people coming from!?! Oh right, they are just like us. #suckers![]()
Glad that worked! I'd heard it working before (probably from you), but didn't know it worked that often. We took Molly with us on all our FPs, by begging the CMs and they were always kind enough to let her ride with us since she didn't makeany FPs!
Those shadows look like the shadows of body-builders, flexing.
Well, poop. Glad we'll see it later, though!Molly and I rode in a doombuggy and we had the most awesome ride pic...or so we thought. It has never come through till this day!! Sad face.I guess we could complain to Photopass but we get to take a make up version later, I promise.
Holy cow! That's the FP line?????We then did our next FP for BTMRR - tons of fun as usual. We went through the FP line with no issues, but when we came off the ride, we realized the FP line had suddenly grown so long that it was all the way by the bridge in Frontierland. It was crazy!!
Top one does... not the bottom, horrid coconut one.OMG don't they look divine?
![]()
![]()
Really! I'm shocked! I was sure you'd say "I prefer the regular Dole whip."But immediately tasting the pistachio raspberry float....I was just raving about it. OMG I KID YOU NOT IT IS FREAKIN' AMAZING
Yeah...I hope to see it there the next tine we go (which at this point is closer to ...never.)
Hilarious that you mention that because it's EXACTLY what I thought of when I saw the tiny amount of jam in that jar, LOLIf you've read my Crazy Dis Asians TR you'd know my sister would take one look at that jam, portion shake her head, and promptly order 4 more servings. "I need more jam" is probably one of her favorite things to say. LOL
Yum I love a good bread basket. I especially love when it is unique like this one.
All of your character photos were so cute! I love their outfits
Wow this looks so good. So glad you all enjoyed your bunch at Toppolino's! It sounds like a really great place and for the price it seems like a great deal!
This view is gorgeous! I can't wait to finally see it in person...We took a walk outside to the patio to check out the view. It's amazing!
![]()
Wow these two items sound so interesting! Definitely not something I would think of trying but after hearing your reaction it intrigues me lol. I think I am such a fan of dolewhips I usually just stick with the same thing haha.OMG don't they look divine?

As always, looking forward to hearing about it!In any case, stay tuned for another fun afternoon and night at MK After Hours!
