RIP Bo Obama

Bo died from cancer. Just seemed like yesterday he was playing on the White House lawn. It’s very hard to lose a family member no matter who you are. Do not make this political and talk about his human dad. So very sad.

He seems to have had a good, fairly long (for a dog) life. I know his family will miss him a lot. I loved his little socks, very cute. You were a very good boy, Bo!

I always had the idea that the Prez had promised his daughters a dog and that his wife also really loved and took care of Bo. But over the years, like happens in some other families, dad comes on board, too, and ends up equally devoted and equally heartbroken when they pass. Obama wrote a pretty laudatory Instagram post today. Sadness that so many of us know. RIP little Bo Boy. you were a real sweetie.
