Just got a new phone and I'm looking for inspiration for some new ringtones. Any favorites? Funny? Romantic?? Disney?? Of course free is great. TIA.

Mine is John Sterling... Theeee Yankees Win!! :thumbsup2

Of course, that won't help if you are a Red Sox fan! It is great to hear during the off season!

Mine is the Ohio State Fight Song, so unless you are a Buckeyes fan I don't think you want it...lol

I can sit for hours and listen to the tones....some of them are funny, especially on Phonezoo

I have fun with ringtones. I usually make my own (find what I want and cut it down or edit to start where I want) and transfer to my phone via the micro sd card.

Right now have john cleese from fawlty towers, bare necessities from the jungle book, my three sons theme song (I have three boys, just seemed fitting), I dream of jeannie theme song.

have used some simpsons songs (homer singing nacho nacho man) and janes addiction's been caught stealing.

Kids have fun with myxer, their phones won't allow them to put on the sd card and designate as a ringtone, theirs has to be downloaded. Myxer is a viable option for them (us) without breaking the bank.

I have the Splash Mountain theme as a general ringtone
Johnny and June when my DH calls
My Sister (reba) when my one sister calls
And Poor Unfortunate souls when another family member calls ( it fits;))
Everyone else goes to the SPlash Mountain ringtone

And they were free so I am pretty happy

They are pretty funny. Great job.

Hey A NY'er a Soxs Fan :scared1:

One son is a Yankee fan, one son is a Met fan (poor kid he is having a rough season. I told them if it keeps up I'll drive him to Citifield and he could play for them. He is 6 and he would probably do a better job and not get hurt.) One son is an Islander fan (we have big dreams this year with Tavares :thumbsup2)

Wow thats impressive. I am a total beginner so I didn't understand how to do anything you just said. :headache:

okay...

I found the I dream of Jeannie on myxer I think and downloaded it to my pc.

or if I like a certain song I have on the pc, I open it up with Nero 8 wave editor.

I edit out the front or the back end of the song to make it around 20 seconds. Save to the pc under whatever name you choose and I usually save to desktop so I can find it quickly. I then get my SD card out of my phone and put it in the adapter:

and put it in the slot on the front of my pc

I then open "my computer" and find the SD card on there (I think it's actually my E drive) and then just drag the .mp3 file to the SD card. I put my SD card back into my phone and open the file explorer on the phone, find the song I just transferred and designate it as a ringtone.

Hope this helps. This is what I do, I can access the web on my phone but it is slow and when I do this it eats up the battery life. I just find it easier to do on my pc and I know exactly where everything is. Plus if I am doing this, I'm usually doing more than one and it's way quicker to do it this way (for me at least).

Edit: Just to clarify the John Cleese ringtone, just in case you weren't familiar with him or the show:

That I had on my phone forever. I need to find a copy of the Lumberjack song from Monty Python.

My oldest was a Mets fan. He soon came over to the Yankees when he realized he was outnumbered at home, lol!

I have a few friends (NY'ers) that are Sox fans. It makes for a real interesting season!

You are so funny. I didn't want to bother you teaching me how. Although I do appreciate it, thank you very much.

Mine are all ones I've made, either with Ringtone Media Studio or iTunes (once I got my iPhone). They're mostly all Foo Fighters, with the exception of the Muppets theme for my dad, the spiel from the monorail for my mom ("Ladies and gentlemen, as you board please move all the way across your car to make room for everyone. For those of you standing, please hold on to the handrails and stay clear of the doors. Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor, mantenganse alejado de las puertas."), and everyone from work gets The Office's theme. Oh, and my brother gets a clip that I ripped from a video I took of Off Kilter; it's Jamie yelling, "Put on some pants; it's time to dance!" I lol every time it goes off.

I have a few seasonal ones I use, too. For Halloween, I'll probably break out "Dead men tell no tales" from the original background soundtrack to the POTC ride, along with the theme from Halloween (the original movie, not the Rob Zombie crap that's out now. Grr.) I like "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" by Andy Williams for Christmas. Otherwise, the theme from Illuminations also makes a really nice (and audible) ringtone, as does "Classical Gas" by Mason Williams.

Where did you get that? I am a huge Yankees Fan and would love to have it as my ringtone.

Thanks!
