.. should I also book tickets for the Halloween nights at Universal?? Me and hubby are wimps when it comes to scarey films but this does look fun. Any of you ever been there?
It's very different from Disney's party. A lot of scary characters strolling around the parks (we were chased by some chain-saw carrying demons a couple of years back) . There are also some awesome haunted houses that you can tour (although there are very long waits - over an hour most of the time - if you don't get there early or buy an express pass).
I screamed my head off in a couple of the houses because they are filled with live actors who are there to scare you!
As Fl. Residents we always get a nice discount, so we've been to HHN at least once a year for the past 5 years. Over the years it has gotten much more popular, and the lines are crazy long. Last year we waited in a 2 hour long line to go through a haunted house that took 4 minutes (and that wasn't the longest wait we found). It was good, but very different from the feeling at Disney. I'd definately suggest going during the week and avoiding the friday and saturday night crowds.
