We are staying off site and plan on using Lyft/Uber to get around.
However, I had planned on using Disney buses on a couple occasions to try and save money but I'm not sure it's worth it for the following scenarios??

Typhoon Lagoon to Wilderness Lodge (dining reservation) Ride share - 11 mins/$13 V Disney - 2 buses/68 mins

Animal Kingdom to Fort Wilderness (dining reservation) Ride share - 16 mins/$16 V Disney - 2 buses/74mins

Obviously looking at this info, it's a no brainer and I would just use Rideshare for both. Are the timings accurate on the MDE app? This is where I got the info from. I have never used Disney transportation before as we have always had a hire car.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

with the Fort Wilderness trip you will still have to take the internal bus to your dining reservation as there is no car stopping there. so you will still have a 20 minutes or so bus ride to count for as the bus will stop at all the loop stops on that route. you can use any of the 3 colored routes as all go to same bus depot. you are going to have to add time to the ride share time

WDW adds buffer time for how long you might have to wait for a bus. In fact, they used to just say to allow 90 minutes to get from place to place using WDW transportation. So, really if you look on a map from bus stop to bus stop, that would be the drive time. So, for AK to FW, the drive time would be the same 15-20 minutes an uber/lyft would be, plus the same internal bus ride to the Settlement area. The only difference is the additional wait time for the bus at AK. (Even if you take the uber/lyft, make sure to add the wait time for the internal bus.)

Another option for AK to FW would be to go AK to MK by bus, go through security and then turn left to the boat docks and take the boat to FW. This would make it 1 bus/1 boat, but travel time could be similar depending on wait times for bus/boat.

@c3h3a3r this is the route I'd take, assuming your destination is Pioneer Hall for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. The boat from MK docks very close to Pioneer Hall, whereas with rideshare or with bus from AK to FW you'd have to take the internal bus. The bus ride from AK to MK would take about the same time as bus from AK to FW, and the boat ride is much more scenic than the internal bus ride!

We avoid using Disney buses unless the bus is sitting there waiting for us to board (which does happen sometimes). Ride share saves valuable time.

Ok, thankyou :)

PS you can take a Minnie Van all the way from AK to The Settlement bus stop at FW, which is where Pioneer Hall is. More expensive than Lyft, but is the only direct transportation route from AK to Hoop Dee Doo.

Thank you so much for the information. Trying to save money, but also trying to save time. Decisions, decisions....
