Hey friends- So, we're staying at the hilton next week (where we had a great stay previously). In the past, we had an easy time with uber and lyft to and from the parks, however, I just did a quick check and a scheduled Uber is running between $25-50! Say what?!?(I know it was typically a $5-9 ride, even with tip)
Anxious that this the norm now, and wondering if recent visitors might share their experiences...? Are taxis around, are they charging the same ridiculousness? TIA for feedback...

Yeah, that's the price of Uber in socal right now.

i live less than 25 minutes from an airport and it wanted to charge me $120 to go from the airport to my home.

I was just there this week from Tuesday-Saturday. Used Uber and Lyft a few times and rates seemed pretty similar to last time we went back in 2019. Uber XL from John Wayne airport to Desert Palms hotel was $35 before tip and about the same back. Rides to/from the Harbor entrance from the hotel with Uber X were running about $7 unless it was within half an hour or so of closing time at DL and then rates doubled due to the high demand. One time I was curious what a cab would charge to run us down to Katella from Harbor entrance so I asked one (there were at least 4 or 5 sitting in line there) and he quoted $12. We didn't use the rides much since it is within walking distance, but a few times when my daughter was having ankle issues we rode just to make the day end better. So yes, there are cabs and Ubers around and prices weren't crazy unless you rode right at peak. Hope that helps!

Thanks much - that does help! I would walk it, but having DD with, especially at the end of the night and early morning means the ride helps a ton ;) Thank you again.

We usually walk there in the morning and then Uber/Lyft back at night. Maybe that will work for you guys?Have a fun vacation!

I'm guessing you may have been looking at surge pricing times.... However, surge pricing may totally be in effect depending on what time you're heading to the park (like during morning rush hour).
