I will be visiting WDW later this week with a cast on my foot and leg from recent foot surgery. I will be using a WC but can transfer (hop pretty easily on my good foot).

1) Does anyone know of any rides I would be prohibited from riding due to the fact that I am wearing a cast? 2) Can anyone recommend any rides that I should avoid because they are especially rough on the feet and legs?

thanks, karen

I can't help with the wheelchair transfer question but I can think of some rides that might not feel good on the feet!

One is Primeval Whirl in the AK - it really slings you around. If you ride make sure perhaps only one other person is in the cart with you and sitting farther away? I was just thinking about having everyone legs whacking yours on the turns!

Other rides that jostle you around are the Safari ride and Dinosaur in the AK and Test Track in Epcot has bumpy parts. I would think Soarin is ok - it is very smooth.

There may be some other bumpy ones but these are the ones that come to mind! Have a great trip!

Karen - one thing you might do is have the person who will remove the cast draw a line where it will be cut. Then bring along some "sharpies" and have the characters autograph the cast, making sure they do not sign accross the line. After the cast come off you will have a very unusual souvenier.
