is it true that autistic children do not have to stand in long lines for rides
 
First of all, welcome to DisBoards and to disABILTIES.

Second, the basic answer to your question is no. However, If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it waill take you to the Index. The third item down is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information, including about Guest Assistance Cards.

A GAC is given based on needs and not diagnoses. If the child has problems with close contact there are work-arounds available with the GAC. Note that front-of-the-line access is only given in exceptional circumstances.
